Jacinthe Zone: ON!

He can't comprehend how one civil encounter with Jacinthe led to this. Corbeau called the shots with Operation Mega Donut , ensuring everyone played their parts well and right ; she dared appear questioning his leadership. He bit back choice words at that moment , understanding that placating her ego would guarantee her cooperation. She'd filled her role as expected ; the entire operation was executed to Corbeau's exact vision. What could potentially backfire afterwards?

Corbeau quickly realized later that she'd taken the mile out of the inch he gave her - she was foolish enough to believe a friendship had sparked ! It'd been a slower day of analyzing fresh Hyperspace Lumiose data when his Rotom Phone flew up to display Lebanne's presence outside the Rust Syndicate. Her rigid posture and meek deliverance of a summons by Lady Jacinthe to an upcoming socialite event made him tense up. Corbeau shot down the invitation , returning to his office and soon receiving an unwelcome greeting from Jacinthe's hologram , insisting he was to show up lest he face consequences unspoken. He'd have to comply , having already experienced time spent in a Jacinthe zone and knowing she was capable of dishing out far worse if her wants weren't met.

Now here he stood , at arm's length from Jacinthe and expected to lead with her in a dance. He'd not dare admit that she had impeccable taste with fashion , as the suit he donned was no eyesore. If anything , it met none of his pre loaded expectations for what he'd imagined she would force him to wear. But this was still Jacinthe of all people - he'd not show a smile , no hint of a pleasant demeanor even if he was dressed to the nines.

"Oh, mais won't you reconsider~?" She made a subtle shift inward, aiming to be closer to his ear, and lowered her voice. "We are amongst such distinguished company - I would hate for them to miss out on your dashing smile, non?"

If nothing else, Corbeau was at least taking the cue to take her arm. And for a moment a pleased smile graced her lips. Perfect - now he could escort her to the table. But that smile was snatched off of her face the moment he uttered the word 'dance'. Jacinthe was so taken aback that she nearly unraveled from him entirely.

"Next - it turns out our friend AZ has a more storied history than we could comprehend. He is responsible for building a device named Ange in the center of Lumiose Tower. Ange uses Mega Power to restore life. Unfortunately, the blast from the Ultimate Weapon's firing five years ago seemed to awaken Ange's dormant Mega Power, drawing swarms of Pokemon to Lumiose City - Alpha Pokemon included - and threatening to overtake the city. And it did try.

"Ah- Now would be a good time to mention Team MZ, I think. They're a small-but-mighty group of teenagers who climbed the ranks of the Z-A Royale with the aim of being deemed strong enough to Mega Evolve the Floette needed to take on Ange's power when she attacked. Fortunately, this group managed to produce the two strongest trainers in the city, and they did in fact save the day - although we are less one Prism Tower for Ange's antics."

It was like stealing candy from a baby. The way tourists were strolling all over his islands, taking a billion pictures with their pockets unguarded. It was almost so easy that he stopped doing it for a while, unless he needed to make a quick buck.

This time, something else caught his attention though. No money, tacky jewelry or expensive electronics. Rather something that was kinda hard to come by around here.

Mega stones. He himself only had one, and only after leaving Alola had he been able to get his hands on that one. The only thing comparable around here were Z-Crystals. So Jacks clocked their worth the moment that woman showed them off to some onlookers who had recognized her.

Was she famous or something?

Not like he cared. And just to prove how little he cared, would he make his theft known. No pick pocketing today, he wanted to give this person a Team Skull welcome.

People couldn't usually sneak up on her, but a Pokemon? Jacinthe jumped out of her skin and covered her lips to muffle her unbecoming little squeak. At first, she'd assumed this was a wild Pokemon - playing silly little tricks on the humans, as some are inclined to do. But as soon as it grabbed at her stones, she knew: this Pokemon had a trainer.

"Excuse me, children-!"

Oh how she loathed running. It was absolutely unsuited for an elite such as Jacinthe. But she couldn't holocast herself to the devices here in Alola, so here she was, chasing a Pokemon manually. She had doubts that it was really trying to escape her though - it looked plenty fast enough to out-speed her - especially in this outfit.
