 Dear Friends and Family,

 As many of you may have heard, the chaos in Syria is causing millions to abandon their homeland. There also happen to be pictures of these refugees being washed up on the shores of Europe.  Like many of you, I also share the distress you may feel from seeing such detriments.  The purpose that I am writing to you today is due to the conviction I have to actively pursue the heart of God, which is calling me to go out and become a disciple of the nations.

 This summer I will be going with a team to Berlin, Germany from June 22-July 6, as a part of Engage the Crisis—the relief effort my church movement created to meet the needs of refugees currently entering Europe. In the first couple of days, we will be trained how to engage with and help the refugees; the rest of the time will be dedicated to working with the refugees in the base of Berlin.  The heart of this effort is to draw these refugees closer to Jesus and to mobilize our generation to share Christ’s love in such a time of need. I believe that in doing so we have the opportunity to shape and define how this crisis will be remembered in history.

 In the time leading up to the trip, I would like to ask you to consider partnering with me either through prayer and/or giving –both which would equally mean a great deal to me.  I would also like to be more vulnerable and share that due to many unfortunate situations, my parents will not be able to financially support my trip which means I will need to fundraise my entire amount of the trip-cost.  However, I believe that one of God’s many glorious characters is one of provision. This is not by any means a way to guilt-trip any of you to support me monetarily, but I am instead using vulnerability in sharing my current situation to show my view of you as a friend and/or family.  Listed below is more information about how you can partner with me in this journey!
