There's way too often some attempt to paint women as also oppressing men in some way (including this weirdly common idea that trans women oppress gnc men). You can't keep being this unwilling to engage with even the most barebones feminist ideas.

Instead of thinking of being transphobic as the shorthand for a set of actions and their consequences, they treat it as a state of being, the transphobe is the person inherently drawn to acts of transphobia (again as projected), by a will born of themselves. They then do the same and opposite for the 'pro-trans person', and so the focus turns from one's actions to one's being, making transphobia not about it's effects on trans people, but about the self.

Moreover, since their idea of transness and transphobia are mere strawmen, one may become pro-trans by performing a set of tells that mark one as such (saying 'fuck terfs' or 'trans women are women', etc.) and a trans person may become 'incorrect' by not performing their expected gender role (something which will disparately affect women). And since questioning these ideas goes against them one will be deemed transphobic for doing so.

hey y'all. I guess most of you know we are in pretty precarious financial situation rn. My father's bank account is frozen due to his debts. I lent my father 1500 reais to hire a lawyer to get the judge to unfreeze his account so we can pay our bills, and he'd pay me back as soon as he got access to his account again. Although the judge DID order his account to be unfrozen, the bank still hasn't done it and i haven't gotten my money back. I need to pay my college TOMORROW, and I need to pay credit card bill, which I used to buy food, pay our bills and buy my sister's crohn's medication in 2 days.

You can explain the exact rhetorical game played by the White House, you can exclaim with incredulity that a hospital is attacked while messages of peace are loudly blared, and you can run around in circles forever - or you can see that, yes, they know, everyone involved knows exactly what is happening, and that is exactly why they are doing it. They bomb the hospitals and block the food because they want to depopulate the area by force. They call everyone out into the open with promises of aid and then bomb them because they want to kill as many people as possible.

Now, the economic reasons for *why* millions upon millions of generals, politicians, corporate executives, and plain settlers have all united in the shared goal of committing genocide are important, because they demonstrate clearly what moves will and will not be taken next - but sitting there politely and untangling all the statements put out to say 'look, actually, the guy who killed thousands might have said something that could be interpreted as racist' or 'inconsistently, the pilot who just bombed that school claimed there was a resistance fighter, but the picture is from the next intersection' is just willingly engaging in the game they want you to be playing against them.
