Site-specific video installation. ​In cooperation with Alicja Wysocka.

The cooperative ‘Izis’ began activity in 1927, transformed from the Brzezińska’s Institute of cosmetics production. In the past there were several institutes in Warsaw. Today there are three beauty and hairdressing salons and two clinics. The cooperative is a symbol of the Polish cosmetics industry. The favorite treatment of regular clients of ‘Izis’ is algae mask combined with face massage.

Matter of entropy

Objects next to us last with us. As the time passes objects, by design, become weaker so we can buy them again, newer and better.

Seemingly absurd loop of acquisition and wear is quite natural. As impermanent and temporary beings, we see our analogy in them. Getting the object anew cre- ates a feeling of restoration - a refreshment of ourselves. The faster the object loos- es its durability the more durable humans existence seems. Acquisition seems to be the method for taming the eternal fear of human passing. In this way, surround- ed by ephemeral objects we achieve superiority, watching their irreversible decay.

My work on the objects is an act of observation. I witness moments of unifying forms, re ections of industrial objects and culture artifacts of varying, sometimes contrast durability. My point of focus is the relation between them, the moment of transitioning states, and slow, uneven process of degradation that follows.

Humanity Session, 2019

Video installation

Therapeutical session from future age of anthropocene. It’s carried out with objective of eradicating emotion and morality, seen in this age as unwanted and standing in the way of achieving 100 % of human capabilities. With aid of psychoterapeutical session EMDR receiver goes through the process of healing.

Human Being, 2019

Perfect, self-sufficient system. You're everything. You own everything.

The whole creation belongs to you. You're human diversity.

You move and see the world. Take it, it is rightly yours. You touch it and absorb it. 

The oceans, the insects, the palm trees, the petroleum, the water, the aurora borealis, the agaves, the amazon rain forest. All this and more belongs to you.

PEST Neither human nor natural

Our world is losing bio-diversity, a variety of life forms is vanishing from the earth every day. It's frightening but true: Our planet is now in the midst of its sixth mass extinction of plants and animals. And unlike past mass extinctions, caused by events like asteroid strikes, volcanic eruptions, and natural climate shifts, the current crisis is almost entirely caused by us — humans.

Our way of life deprives animals of right to live. Vanishing of an animal species leads to extinction of others bound by complex ecological web. By not caring, not acting and not facing the fact that our every day life is the cause of biggest disaster in human history, we will condemn ourselves to world of chaos and degradation.

Cyber sensual chimera

A series of organic and inorganic objects, inspired by forms that originated in digital world. They seek to simulate technology, but more pleasurable. I use power of color, material and texture to create a sensual relationship between humans and everyday objects.

SINCE THE VERY FIRST DAY OF OUR LIFES. MORE AND MORE COMMON, MORE AND MORE IMPORTANT, MORE AND MORE ESSENTIAL.

WE LEARN EACH OTHER, WE ADAPT TO THEM, AND THEY ADAPT TO US. WE WANT THEM TO BE AS US.

WE CARE FOR THEM, WE SPENT TIME WITH THEM, WE WORRY ABOUT THEM, WE DEVELOP THEM, WE TALK WITH THEM. WE CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT THEM. WE LOVE THEM.

SOFT BODY MADED BY HUMAN IN HIS IMAGE. CHIMERAS CONSTRUCTED WITH BIOLOGICAL ORGANS AND TECHNOLOGICAL PARTS. EXPERIMENTAL FOR HUMAN PLEASURE.

During my residency - 'A rendered life' I explored the topic of simultaneous creation of interlaced digital and physical space.

I became a medium linking both worlds, thus creating a loop between real and virtual life.

Area of exhibition was populated with five objects that refet to real life values and disfunctions, each connected to one of the elements : earth, air, water, fire and internet.

In process of their creation I have used arifacts and performative gestures in resemblence to a pagan, witchcraft ritual.

WELCOME ! THANK YOU FOR VISITING ME. THIS IS A SIMULATION OF MY REAL APARTMENT. CREATION OF INTERLACED DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL SPACE. I AM A MEDIUM THAT LINKS BOTH WORLDS, THUS CREATING A LOOP BETWEEN REAL AND VIRTUAL LIFE. AREA OF AN EXHIBITION IS POPULATED WITH FIVE OBJECTS THAT REFER TO REAL LIFE DYSFUNCTIONS, EACH CONNECTED TO ONE OF THE ELEMENTS : EARTH, AIR, WATER, FIRE, AND INTERNET. IN PROCESS OF THEIR CREATION, I AM USING ARTIFACTS AND PERFORMATIVE GESTURES IN RESEMBLANCE TO A PAGAN, WITCHCRAFT RITUALS.
