I started off writing this caption about how 2018 was a rough one for me and how I’m glad this forgettable year is finally coming to an end. But then I actually reflected on these pictures and realized how wrong I’ve been looking at this year. Yes, it was a mentally straining year, but that’s not all it was. I graduated college this year. I traveled quite a bit. I’ve met some amazing people and gotten closer to old friends. I’ve tried some amazing food. I’ve been to some amazing places. I loved harder than any age I’ve ever been and will continue to do so. But there is one thing in common between my old caption and this one: above all else, I’m extremely proud of how well I’ve managed to surround myself with some real genuine people. This is where Benjamin and I met. I don’t care what he says, whether he thinks it was New Zealand or not, my first memory of talking to him was Canada so we’re gonna say we met in Canada 😂 Anyway, this is the spot where we first started to get to know each other. It’s where we immediately started teasing each other and joking around while expoing together. It’s where I gave him hell for not inviting me to a coworker function and he defended himself by inviting me to the next one. It’s where we found out we were neighbors and that we lived in the same exact apartment complex, just one building away and a 30 second walk. Last year, I celebrated Benjamin’s birthday by going to downtown Orlando without him 😂 (per his choice).
