I read this on that stupid Reddit that’s devoted to people recovering from the trauma of not being able to be a fan anymore 😂 I don’t even believe it, the poster deleted it too.

She really seems like such a sweet, well rounded human. I hate for her that fans make her out to be a crazy fan girl, when they don’t know if that’s the case (I would assume it is FAR from it - she’s admitted to being a fan, yes, but not obsessive. Obsessive implies things like waiting in line for hours to get front row, standing outside hotels, flying all over the country or world, responding to confession accounts every time you receive an alert on your phone even if it means excusing yourself from your job...etc) I imagine if she were obsessive, their marriage wouldn’t have lasted this long.

I run a business. My SO will say “check us out!” to people, even though he isn’t involved. He isn’t referring to himself, but my shop. It’s supportive, and whether anyone likes it or not, Natalie is involved regardless - she’s on the road with them this tour, taking care of 5 kids with one on the way - she can say “us” all she wants!

No. I respond fast simply because I have alerts on for the blog and usually, not always, I happen to be free or free-ish when the confessions post. I work a desk job and I step away and take a quick break if I want to answer.  If I knew them I wouldn’t post publicly. Anyone can refute or disagree with anything I say, for example this specific confession…it just simply doesn’t hold water with the statement that Taylor is hipster. He has a painfully awful taste of style, yes, and can be clueless while well-meaning, but to their credit the hipster culture is quite far removed from his roots which he makes clear that he appreciates and loves. It’s “fact” because he himself demonstrates this behavior. It requires being able to refer to his behavior as we see it publicly and comparing it to the accepted context of the topic. While I strongly dislike things like always/never statements and pulling out dictionary definitions…Taylor quite simply is an antonym of hipster: a person who follows the latest trends and fashions, especially those regarded as being outside the cultural mainstream. He is quite culturally mainstream. The boy lives for Starbucks and Beyonce. He’s happy as a pig in shit with his wife, kiddos, and (several) mortgage(s). He drives a Land Rover ffs (at least, he did during Anthem era that we saw in the doc). While the music they create is made, performed, and written well, in and of itself is standard, mainstream dad pop-rock.  And there’s nothing wrong with any of it, but it isn’t hipster.

I definitely don’t jump at my phone everytime I get an alert. Doing something once in awhile in my free time vs. someone stepping away at their work to respond with a novel commenting immediately whenever there’s a “confession” posted about the members of a bands personal life in a way that makes it seem you believe to have some kind words of insight…well, that’s not even remotely the same. Agreed. I love how people complain about others being “privileged.” No, they just worked for what they had. You, too, could be successful if you put in the work, no matter if you’re upper class, middle class, or lower class. Or, you excuse yourself from your desk job to comment about a band you don’t personally know and their financial situation lol

Majority of the Hanson fans make the concert experience less enjoyable. We’re not teen girls anymore (for the most part), can’t we go to a concert and chill out and enjoy the music, instead of acting obnoxious? Who cares? I don’t understand attacking them or judging them for their personal beliefs. I don’t understand the mentality of “my way is the right way, I think less of you bc you disagree” and you can say all you want that that’s not what you’re saying, but it is.

If you feel so strongly, if your personal feelings and values are that important, then don’t support them and quit whining about it. Simple as that. Complaining yet still supporting them is hypocracy. Disagreeing and still supporting them, fine.
