Reunion | melithos
Damnit ! ā- where the hell was this feeling coming from?! Whatever this feeling was, it sent chills down Melanieās spine. She didnāt like it; oh no, not one bit. Melanie slowly narrowed her eyes as she hastily looked through the crowd, trying to spot out anyone or anything that just seemed familiar. Not the goons, not the crowd, not the drinks, not whatever the hell was hanging around the DJā she couldnāt find it. This eerie feeling was starting to piss her off. At first, it was āentertaining,ā but now it just⦠irked her.
The voice she heard from behind her stopped her boggling thoughts and she immediately closed her eyes. Maybe she was just going crazy? It sure as hell seemed like it. Nah, that canāt be Poke. He probably killed himself going through all these world traveling he was talking about. And so, Melanie turned and opened her eyes, blinking as her eyed laid on him. ā⦠I- Wellā Not anymore.ā Short stopped and choked on her words. What a wonderful reunion.
Poke didnāt know what to expect, but he didnāt think that Melanie would be so...Well, slow in reacting. Ā Probably taking time to swallow the fact that he practically showed up out of no where. Ā That, or maybe sheās convincing herself that what she just heard wasnāt real. Ā Whichever it was, she finally turned to face him, and Poke looked...almost worried.
I might have gone a bit overboard.Ā He couldnāt remember the last time Melanie ever stuttered like that(Does she even stutter? Ā Holy crap, I made her stutter. Ā My God, Poke, why are you happy about this, sort your priorities). Ā Deciding not to drag on the silence between them, broken only by the noises from the crowd and the loud music, he spoke again, going along with their little 'game'. Ā ā...So. Ā You finally found him, then?ā Ā
