{it's so hard, trying to sort through some of my babies lore and where to take them from here when critical people in their lives were other OCs long since inactive or deactivated ;-;
Ivy, with Samson- her future!verse lore isn't changing, and she's still gonna be in a polycule with Dustyn and Samson. He's still Ama and Rui's dad (tho unclear which actually fathered Ama.) Rui was originally a gijinka of Ivy's Kirlia, and I'm on the fence about whether I'll keep it that way, so I'm leaving things vague. But if she's not, and actually just a human daughter of Ivy, Samson is 100% her dad. Samson's account seems to have since been deactivated, so he'll have to live on in our memories. This means Ivy's future!verse will have to be a verse split from the current timeline... For Ivy's refresh, I'll have to make it so that Samson never existed in her life im the first place. My poor girl definitely can't handle another heartbreak or being abandoned again.
Then there's Fay and Nichole, who doesn't seem to have been active since 2018. (It's not surprising. Things really started to die down around 2016-2017, I think I left sometime in 2017 myself.) Those two never really officially got together I don't think, but he was really head over heels for her and her character gave him purpose outside of his job and his sister. He's going to be pretty lost now without her. I'm not sure if I should erase her from his life completely, or have her be a vague (to the reader, not Fay) presence he sometimes remembers/is wistful over.
Then there's Furuka and Lilly, her best friend and also Samson's mun. I can play it off because one of the last time they interacted, Lilly was leaving on a pokemon journey. It would be weird for Lilly to not contact Furuka off and on when she had signal or settled at a pokecen, but I obviously can't make up any lore for a character that isn't mine, so it's just kind of a vague, "I hope they're happy and well" but inside Furuka is absolutely crushed.
Ahh, so many wonderful characters everyone created, and so many memories they all had together. I kinda wish I never left in the first place, maybe we would all still be in touch, but personal life got in the way.
Ah, well. The children shall pull through and make new friends :) }
