"It's why I always thought it as a reason why Pokemon and people were seemingly drawn to eachother," she offered in consideration.

"It's easy to understand why humans are enamored with Pokemon. They can do so many wonderous things, and can be almost any size and shape imaginable. While people are all individual, for the most part, we're relatively similar in basic aspects. Atleast how as far as a Pokemon is concerned, I imagine." "Still... despite all that, it must be comforting for both sides to realize there would be someone out there that would understand you. Whether goals, future ambitions, or just a way of thinking and feeling. I imagine there is some comfort with the idea that somewhere in the world... you have the potential to meet a partner who would get you." Perhaps she was overthinking it. Afterall, many people just went out into their backyard and tossed a pokeball to get their Pokemon. Or... perhaps sometimes it was as simple as that to meet one destined to be with you. Things just worked out that way sometimes for many situations~ All the redhead could offer was a shrug of her shoulders. She doubted either of them would ever truly know the aspect of such a thing. Some things were simply meant to be unexplainable... similarly: "I'd love to learn more about such an ability," Daedra offered earnestly. "-even if it's still hard for me to grasp properly. I can't say I didn't atleast try to learn~"

He watches her for a few moments, a thoughtful look there. His eyes remain focused on hers as if he's contemplating something before an amused smile creeps up and his eyes close. "... You are most correct about that." His theory was at one point, if the histories are true, humans and Pokemon were the same. They came from the same cloth, the same star, so to speak.

"Everyone has at least one Pokemon partner out there that they're destined to meet." His gaze drifts to Dastan who is oblivious. His eyes close and then he opens them to meet her gaze once more. "The ace phenomenon, I guess is a way to put it, yes?"

Wyatt swings their hands as they walk, his other hand flailing wildly as he talks. "Music is fun! Wyatt likes the songs from Bluey! " Milo might not know that cartoon, but the songs are catchy. "Sometimes, Papa lets us visit Grandma and Grandpa, and Great Grandpa plays the piano for me when he feels good enough! Papa listens to fancy music, and that helps me sleep sometimes."

Milo tilts his head. "Bluey, huh? Yeah, Willow likes that show too." It wasn't her favorite, but she watched it a lot growing up. It had come out shortly after he turned over the age threshold... so nah, he's good. "Really? Hmm... Mom-- Uh, your Auntie... she likes to play lots of music that leans into the weird, y'know?"

Donovan nods to Friede as Mewtwo hands the man something to help him set up camp. Donnie makes a noticeable glance at Ashe, and speaks up. "Make sure she doesn't run off. We know next to nothing about what's out there." He wasn't saying that to be mean, he just knows Ashe too well.

Donnie gives Charizard a chin scratch, smiling softly. "I'll take the help. Didn't bring any flying types with me this time." He makes the map float over his arm, and he turns to Lucky. "What we do now is make a sweep of the area. First rule of being in an unfamiliar environment is to get the lay of the land. I say, we should take about an hour to get a good look around, then make our way back to camp. Spot any landmarks or buildings that warrant investigating later. Nothing too difficult."

A low grumble of sorts escapes the Charizard before slowly inclining down so Donovan's able to slip on. Once he's on, the Charizard picks up Lucky and begins to fly off. Beating his wings, he takes Donovan skyward to get a more aerial view. It is... massive. A sprawling metropolis and toward the center, the makings of what must have been an ancient castle or citadel.

It was dark. Beneath the ocean's waves here at the bottom, there is little light save the fact Pokemon overhead in the waters above would glow or move. Sounds call out in the darkness from Wailord or other mysterious dark denizens. There appear to be other water-type or deep denizens that scurry in the shadows, but they are unafraid of humanity. It's like the three of them are ghosts.

"I've had more successful conversations with dogs."

"BWORF!" He's offended! He is a dog! How dare she!... and yeah...

... Puppy dog pouting.

Interesting. That was about as normal a schedule as he was expecting. Drayton wasn't fully expecting Milo to turn and ask him the same thing, but he should've. Curious minds will inquire about anything they don't know about, as per human nature. The teen had a noticeable pause before he spoke up.

❝No siblings. And no, can't say I do.❞ When was the last time he saw his grandfather, or Iris? Or anyone back home for that matter. He had some young, distant relatives attending the school now as first-years, but none of them would want to hang around him. The family's disgrace. Not that he's seeking out their company either. ❝Visiting home's a pain, so I stay put. Nobody comes to visit me.❞

He blinks slowly. Hm. "I see." He thinks for a moment. "My mom told me once she was an only child by blood, but she chose to have siblings. My uncles... all..." How many did he have now? Kianga, Ruko, Night, Donovan... "... four of them are all chosen, she says." Deadpan, he adds; "My mom collects family like candy. It can be a bit weird, honestly."

Alysa was surprised by Milo's sudden talkativeness. Minutes ago, he was very reserved. Lazarus seemingly reminded him to calm himself, which did draw out a chuckle from her. ❝That's okay.❞ It was honestly sweet. ❝Tari sings a few songs, usually when he's in a happy mood. Otherwise, he sings to me when I'm feeling sad. It helps cheer me up.❞ He's done it since day one, and especially after he evolved. ❝As for the gyms, I'm from Kalos. When I was…10, I think? I traveled around the region and gained all the gym badges. It was so enriching.❞ It was all thanks to her decision to travel, to become a better trainer, that she was even here in the school. Not to mention, it allowed her to see the world for what it was rather than believe all of the stories her parents had told her. Especially her mother. ❝Tari's been with me since the very beginning. Our bond's so strong, I can even mega evolve him.❞ She threw that in for the fun of it, it wasn't often she got to talk about her pokemon with those outside of her friend circle ❝Do you like Swablu and Altaria, Milo?❞

Milo offers an apology; "... Sorry... if I startled you. I just... Music, y'know? Pokemon?" Does he need to explain it...? He hopes not. She seems like she might understand all too well. He's a surprisingly good listener for someone as young as he is. Thankfully, his uncle instilled in him the meaning of 'patience'.

"Kalos..." He trails off. He is aware of his origins. His mom found him in an alleyway in Lumiose City as a baby. She took him in and... well... he has been to Kalos on her work trips before but... For a moment, the boy looks more like a man who has seen some things, but it fades quickly as she talks about Tari. "That's... really cool, actually." He looks to Lazarus. "I know Toxtricity can't Mega Evolve, but I did always want to try Dynamaxing him." The Toxtricity offers a lazy smile and ruffles his trainer's hair to which Milo huffs.

Despite his best attempt to explain, Daedra still found herself rather lost in the understanding. While she was an avid believer in the power of one's heart, she'd never really understood it to manifest as 'words' so directly. Perhaps because there were so many emotions and inner workings that couldn't be labeled to simply like that. To her, words always went with the mind - analytical. The heart dealt with the soul and all the emotions that came with that. Perhaps it just went to show how little she knew of things. That might have been why she could never 'hear' words, despite believe how openly hearts could speak. It clearly was different for certain individuals--- part of what made the world wonderful and beautiful, in her opinion. Though, it seemed Kianga could clearly pick up on her confusion on the matter. It was probably very obvious from her expression. (She very rarely could mask her emotions, even when she wished to. Far too honest)

"It's not that I don't believe," Daedra quickly piped up to assuage the misunderstanding. "-it's just... hard for me to grasp. Or rather-- I do understand just.... not the process or act of it, like you do. Like a skilled pianist playing a sonata to someone who doesn't play at all..." Probably not the best comparison, as anyone could -learn- the art to atleast appreciate the skill it took for a master. Daedra had to imagine Kianga's ability was strictly a gift. Special to the point that no one could -earn- it. Once again, her head tilted from his descriptive comment on himself. As if not easily able to follow Kianga's logic. "What's so unusual about that?" she asked. "Pokemon don't care about those things; not things that people put much stock in. It hardly matters to them if you have money or fame or where you came from.... they just care about how one treats them."

Kianga pauses but he offers a smile and his arms lower. "... My apologies." On many accounts. "That wasn't fair to you." He doesn't elaborate ane decides to try and steer the conversation somewhere else. He looks wistful as he asks; "... As a person who plays the sonata then... Would you care for me to 'play' for you?" He's asking if she'd like him to try and break it down.

If not, he'll move on from it.

"This is true. They do not." He pauses a long, long moment and then concludes; "However, like people, there are many different kinds of Pokemon. Some can have motives or ambitions that leave humanity shocked. It... definitely shocked me when I learned of this in my travels." He found himself revealing far more about himself then he liked around Daedra, but honestly, it felt nice to leave the armor behind for a few moments.

Mewtwo takes notice of Ashe and her current state and decides to take over the conversation as Donovan focuses on what he should do. "In all fairness, there is much about the ocean humans do not know. We have barely searched the city, but this place could serve as a base camp, of sorts." Donovan stands in front of the dilapidated stone home, and makes his choice. He looks at Lucky, and shrugs. "Maybe, but I'm going to need more than what we came here with for that." His arms and hands begin to glow gold as various runes and Unown symbols float around him, and Donnie conjures up a magical 3-D map of what they explored so far. "I'm not sensing anything yet, but there is a strange power source further in the city. I want to say it's mystical in nature, but I can't say for certain." He looks to Ashe, and offers an idea. "I can have Strange and Ultron send some small drones I can send out while we set up camp. That way we can get a heads up in case anything pops up." He turns his attention back to the map as Mewtwo starts setting up their temporary base camp. "Hold up. I got movement not far from here." Donovan looks up from his map, and turns to the others. "I got something wandering around here, could be a Pokemon, but not one I recognize. There's also a group of...something close to the city center. Whatever energy is flowing around is messing with my spells, so I can't get an accurate reading."

Lucky's fur bristles as his eyes lock in the direction of said place. For now, Lucky is acting as Ashe's proxy. Friede, seeing this, moves to stop and he turns to Donovan; "I'll get camp set up. If you want to go check this out, go on ahead." He whistles to Charizard and the pokemon swoops down to land just near them.

"If you need Charizard to go with you, go for it." Friede notes Lucky who likely will go with Donovan regardless if he chooses to go check it out. For now, Friede guides Ashe to have a seat, moving to cradle her face and speak something to her softly. She only nods and he goes to begin preparing a camp for those present.

Charizard approaches Donovan, snorting softly and nudging the man before turning and following his gaze to the map he has. Lucky himself remains rigid but more letters appear on the RotomPhone;

"Heee!" The five year old takes his cousins hand, and smiles brightly. "Papa says you like good music! Wyatt likes music too!" Granted, most of his favorite songs are from cartoons, but he also liked classical music for some reason.
