criteria

frequent and/or intense urges to cause intentional physical h$rm to oneself

a desire to worsen physical h$rm caused to oneself (a desire to go further)

notes / other symptoms

injury must be deliberate with the intent to h$rm oneself

the self injury can be for any reason, such as punishing oneself, low self-esteem, attention seeking, etc. as long as it is intentional

the belief that one's self injury is less severe than required to be "valid" or that ones injuries are "not good enough" is very common in SIPD
