First nights in the circus, Abbie (Pomni) slept under the table with Cai (The carpet is soft)

Cai was a bit afraid of her at first (Afraid of being judged mostly), but on the second day (When Candy adventure happened), she started to feel a bit less stressed. Seeing that Abbie only seeks her company.

Abbie was a bit weirded out by Cai, but very quickly dicovered that AI is more scared of her than anything. Seeing how both of them in need of comfort - she insisted on sticking together and try talking and sharing things about each other. To get more familiar, hoping that befrieng her will make being in the circus less terrifying. It obviously helped tremendiously and Abbie is now the one reaching out to Cai, nudging her to not stay in the office all the time.

During the candy andventure (Abbie didn't participated, insisting on staying with Cai to help her gain some confidence) - they decided to plan next one together, where Abbie suggested 2 ways of finishing it, explaining how horror is something she can't cope. Unlike Caine - Cai likes human's suggestions (And sugestion box was her idea which she always eagerly checked, but not one was send (Why? Because only Grant (Kinger) knows it exists) (How does she access suggestion box? Via Bubble)

This story is just a symbolic short thing about my life and journey. I identify with the stray cat in this story. Feel free to think it is a little dumb, but writing it made me feel better. I want to share with others to let them know you aren’t alone <3

There’s a stray cat dragging trash that’s tied up on its body. The trash doesn’t constrict too much so a limb or anything won’t get cut off, nor is it fatal. But it does put a huge weight on the stray cat because it is still heavy and leaves a trail. That dead weight forced the cat to either give up and die or adjust. The stray cat got tangled in trash as a kitten. The weight was hard but the cat thought it was normal and just adapted. Over time the cat lived life adjusted to dragging the heavy trash. But that didn’t mean that some days the weight did not get in the way of life, or that some days it just felt heavier. The cat has to navigate hills and rocks and sharp messy streets to find a comforting safe spot to rest by itself.

One day the cat met a colony of fellow domestic cats that lived next to some house cats. Some of those house cats were able to relax in their gardens. The cat expected harm from others from living in unpredictable streets, not knowing which interactions with other creatures or humans would be positive, negative, or neutral. Over time the colony of cats showed and taught the stray cat that safety and patience existed and that the cat could join if it wanted. So it did. It was allowed to leave anytime it wanted to. But it still always welcomed a spot in the colony.

One day the cat bonded very deeply with a house cat that was allowed to come and go from the home at will. The house cat taught the stray first hand over time, that kindness, patience, respect, and boundaries could exist and that the stray cat was welcomed to it. The stray cat made more friends with other cats, both colony cats and house cats. Sometimes the stray cat struggled to catch up with the other cats due to the trash tangled and tethered to its body. The other cats tried to gnaw and take the trash off, but they just couldn’t.

Even before it became clear to the other cats that the stray cat simply could not get rid of the dead weight, they were gentle and patient with the stray. They made sure to pause when the stray got tired. They had their own responsibilities and hobbies, but they never truly abandoned the stray cat or ended their friendships with the stray. Not even when the smell was strong. When that first got in the way, they came up with solutions to make the smell gone or less pungent so both parties could have a nicer time together. The colony and house cats gave the best advice they could to help the stray cat best adapt and feel better.

Eventually the stray cat felt safe. It felt loved. With all its fellow cats around them, it felt wanted. It felt heard. It was never shamed for struggling. It wasn’t punished for being unable to provide for the colony. Its deeply bonded house cat friends made the stray feel wanted for who it was, and the stray felt like it could forget about the dead weight it had.

One day… The stray decided to trust the house cats and let a human help it get rid of the dead weight it had for years. It was scary, but it was a success! And soon the stray cat was free to go back to its colony. But after the dead weight was removed, the stray cat still struggled. It was not in pain anymore; a huge weight was lifted! But it was unused to not having that pressure anymore. It was unused to having the ability to put equal balance on all four paws. Some muscles atrophied over the years, but still could grow. It needed time to still heal despite the trash gone from its body. The stray was worried if the cats it cared about still wanted a cat who still struggled despite the huge reason for its struggle went away…
