‘you’re such a dumbass, get in the kitchen and make me another chicken pie! filled with love!’

Evie was having such a lovely time. Loved being around Venus more than she could imagine and loved seeing her friends. Even fighting with Molly was fun, but she’d never admit it. All the dancing made her hungry and she liked to keep her full if she was drinking so she didn’t get too messy. She grabbed an hors d’ouervre to enjoy and a few for Ven when someone spoke to her. Her eyes lit up at Ivan, and her mind ran to Lily. “I bet it is a good day for you!” Evie grinned and faced him properly. “First Valentine’s not alone?” She asked, squealing excitedly and bending her knees, only to shoot up so happily. “Lily told me you two are going out. And I’m so happy for her and for you. And you make her so fucking happy, Ivan. I’ve been meaning to find you one of these days to tell you I’m happy that you make her happy. It shows. And I guess she makes you happy, too! Considering you’re loving this day so much and all!”

‘do we have to go? i think we could go for round two and maybe even three. who needs a party when we have pizza in bed?’

This was probably the first time in Ivan’s life that he had spent a Valentine’s Day with a girl and he was having the time of his life. The past eighteen years of his life he thought the day was fairly pointless but today he was having fun. And the world needed to know. He was finally taking a break from dancing, realising he was a little peckish so he headed over to the food table and grabbed whatever he could find, then grinned stupidly at the person next to him. “You know what I’ve discovered today? Valentine’s Day is actually a pretty good day!”

‘did you eat my fucking chicken pie again?! i will kill you krum!’

she felt like dancing and jumping and never ever stopping because after all the shit she’d climbed through to get here, it all seemed worth it when he smiled. ‘everyone’s going to be so jealous of us, i can’t wait! and oh, love, you know there will always be room for pizza in our relationship. so long as i don’t catch you snogging pizza when i’m not around.’

instantly lily felt the weight of the world float off her shoulders as she leaned into him and up on her toes to kiss him better. she certainly hadn’t expected all of this to stem from one new year’s kiss. pulling back she let out a quiet laugh, leaning up to press her forehead against his, ‘is that what people do? you know, usually i’d say yes because that sounds like a dream but i want to go out and flaunt to the world about how i’m allowed to kiss you and they’re not.’

lily giggled softly, pulling at his hands to uncover his face before letting her own arms wrap around him and pull him as close as humanly possible. ‘yes, oh my goodness. what are you waiting for? kiss me, you fool!’

‘of course it’s because you’re cute and blonde.’ lily scrunched her nose before dropping her head to nod. but at his laugh, she took a sigh of relief because he didn’t look angry at all. and she really thought someone would’ve been angry! ‘uh, yeah. i’m the quidditch playing girl. wait, you’re not angry? really not angry?’

‘no, silly. i choose you.’ she said holding the pokeball in the palm of his hand with a silly smile. ‘get it? because pokemon. i’m ash, you’re my pikachu. now let me take a peek at you. i’m kidding, i’m just being hilarious. maybe later… definitely later.’ she rambled on but shook her head. ‘no well, yes. the pizza thing but also… i was sort of dating your brother too until this morning. because tavi was setting me up with a krum and i guess she meant miro but i thought she meant you and it got confusing but i had to make a decision and i choose you. i like you, not in like a let’s get married right this second or anything, but i do. i want to see a lot more of you.’

“Then here’s to hoping it is something great.” He replied with a smile. “I mean it’s not the most important part. It’s nice to be able to share with her. Although, if I dated someone that didn’t play… they’d at least need to like the sport.”

“Oh hi there,” Henrik scratched the kitty’s head, smiling brightly at her. “She seems to like people so maybe she just managed to sneak out?” he mused and took a step back so that the other wouldn’t be too close to her. “oh that’s so terrible! I can’t imagine being allergic to cats, I’d cry myself to sleep every night probably.”

‘ivan!’ lily called out, taking a big bite of the pizza she’d obviously bought for him as she ran over to meet him. she took him by the arm and pulled him into an empty classroom, handing him the now half eaten slice of pizza and a little pokeball with the other hand. ‘i’ve got something to confess. i don’t know how you’ll take it, hell, i barely know how to say it.’

“I will always remind you.” He said with a laugh. “Oi, look at you. That’s pretty damn adorable. She must be really special.” Miro ran a hand through his hair. “As for my girl. She’s a quidditch player, sharp as all get out, beautiful and one of the nicest girls. Tavi set us up so clearly she has good taste in friends as well.”

lily grinned so widely as he understood her pun, even if was something as simple as a pun, it made her feel nice and warm. like for a millisecond they were actually just a boy and a girl and not their names, not their history or anything in between. she actually loved how ivan made her feel. a laugh bubble out of her lips at his story, scrunching her nose as she tried to imagine it. ‘oh merlin. i can’t imagine what mum and dad would do if one of us wasn’t good at quidditch. albeit james… sort of sucks but not that bad. okay, fine. we’ll keep your feet on the ground at all times, okay? no need to get our heads stuck in the clouds when there’s so much to do down here.’ she smiled, taking out a piece of pizza and giving one to him and grabbing one for herself. ‘geez, you’re whipped. if the pizza said jump off a cliff, would you do that too?’
