“You’re right!” Mercer found that he liked how positive Henrik was. More people needed to be that way. He could see why Mason was smitten. “All of them? Remind me to visit Ikea more often.” He was probably more excited than he should’ve been, practically bouncing on his feet as he went over to try out the first couch. It didn’t take much to make him happy though and this couch shopping put him in a good mood. “There’s so many to choose from!”

‘tell me one thing, ikea,’ he started as he picked up the glass from the table and helped himself to henrik’s sofa (yes the same sofa he and henry would dry hump on later). ‘why would you be sadistic enough to turn your poor cat inside out? we have cats in australia, and they have fur… like most things. it’s strange that i have more hair than rosie. is it a condition? is she okay? will she live? oh god, is it cat cancer? i can donate my hair for a wig, oh. poor rosie. i’ll fund your gofundme page, baby!’

“You’re Ven’s brother?” Evie asked, a bright smile forming on her features. “She’s…” she grimaced for a moment and spun around in her dress, looking through the crowd of people to see if she could spot the blonde. To her dismay, she couldn’t, but she turned back to Ven’s brother with a shrug. “I have no idea. But I now she’s with her friends. I can help find her with you? It’s been like a hot minute since I danced with her. But hi! I’m Evie,” she stuck her hand out to him. “the girl who took your sister to this party. Talk while we search!” She said, linking arms with him and already pointing to where she remembered Venus dancing off too earlier.

“I’m not a very party person and normally I would skip them altogether, but i’m trying to make an effort this year.” she smiled softly “That’s like asking me to pick what my favourite subject it. I’m partial to the classics like War and Peace, Anna Karenina, Don Quixote…and don’t forget Shakespeare…Sorry I’m rambling” she apologised, shaking her head “Do you have a favourite?” 

“hi, have you seen my sister, venus? tiny, blonde? i can’t find her anywhere and i’m kind of starting to freak out,” henrik asked with a tiny sigh and ran a hand through his hair.
