It’s not even that I dislike Pearl and Marina, I think that they’re the best written characters in the series. But the reason that they are the best written characters is because they’ve gotten two whole campaigns dedicated to developing them.

Yeah, so what are the odds that some of them are being run by companies who want to harvest artwork that they know is made by humans to better train their AI on?

What if the reason for a lot of Kris's weird behavior (fatigue, irritability, apathy, etc.) is due to the fact that Hometown primarily has food for monsters and not humans. In Undertale we learn that human food and monster food are different, and that monster food is converted purely into energy as soon as its consumed. what this means is that while monster food can heal humans, it may not give them the the nutrients that they need to be healthy. Since Kris is the only human in hometown, there is a chance that there just isn't a lot of human food. And while I'm sure that Toriel accounts for this and probably get human food from out of town for Kris to eat at home, a lot of their diet would be made up of food that simply doesn't give them the nutrients that they need.

*Also, as I'm typing this I'm realizing that we don't see kris eat all that much altogether (not including stuff eaten in the dark worlds since Susie points out that nothing she eats there is truly filling.) If memory serves me correct we see them eating at QC's and the chocolates, but other than that, not much else.

**Also also, if we really wanted to stretch it this could be tied back into half-human Susie theory, since this on top of her presumed financial situation would explain why she's so hungry all the time.
