synopsis : your husband izuku midoriya takes you shopping in musutafu! | drabble ╱ timeskip + 𝓶𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐬 𝓯luffy 𝓬hirstmas!
“no.. way! you’re kiddin’!” the snow pattered down lightly outside the semi-parted curtains, specks of sparkly white sticking to the glazed window.
izuku sighed, “hm..? you’re acting like I never take you on shopping sprees.”
“no, no, no!— this is very different ‘zuku!”
he raised a brow, lips pouting. “oh really- how? do tell.”
“don’t mock your wife.” you grumbled, opening your closet and mindlessly gazing at your different options.
he grinned, “would never mock you.” falling back on your shared bed with a soft thud.
you turned to him and rolled your eyes, hand on hip. “it is different! because.. it’s our first christmas being married!” izuku laughed as he watched you wave your hands to make a point.
“oh goodness! we have to wear matching outfits ‘zuku!— what makeup style should I do?.. it is really cold outside so if I do a full face it wont melt off… but!.. we are walking a-lot so I might sweat from that.. hm! oh look these shoes are super cute ‘izu!” you gasped, staring a pair of brown heels swaying in your grasp.
“hm.. not the most comfortable though— oh wait! look!—” you rambled in one breath, throwing different jumpers and dresses on your bed.
midoriya sat up and stared at you, eyes low in besotted infatuation, his elbow resting on his knee and a freckled cheek balled up in his palm. “sounds amazing...” he hummed.
“okay i’m ready!” you called out.
izuku quickly sat up, rubbing his eyes and wiping drool from his cheek. “ah..” he yawned, stretching his arms over his tousled green hair. “mhm.. didn’t fall asleep.. not at all.”
you playfully rolled your eyes, “I miss when you were shy and awkward, you’re so sassy now.”
he flushed, “you don’t and for the record— I’ve always been sassy.” he cheekily put up air quotes with his calloused fingers paired with a wide smile.
as he turned to face you his grin melted into something softer, “you look.. beautiful.” he sighed, slowly walking up to you and leaning down to place a soft kiss on your temple.
“those drinks look so good!”
glistening snow coated the bustling pathway, footprints etched into the thick snow. midoriya smiled, “do you want one?” already adjusted the handful of shopping bags in his hold to retrieve his wallet.
“amazing…” you mumbled dreamily, closing your eyes as you licked your lips. the hot chocolate was silky and rich against your throat as you took in one large gulp. the sweetness of the whipped cream bringing a large smile to your face.
izuku stared at you through his phone which was held out in-front of him, a bashful and soft grin on his face.
he yelped as he realised you caught him. “ah— sorry!.. you just look so cute.. and pretty.” he whispered, saving it to his already overwhelming photo album of you.
he nodded, “mhm.. you should post it on your instagram.”
you smiled, “I will…oh look!—” you excitedly pointed overhead towards a pretty display of christmas lights.
“come, come!” you reached for the cuff of izukus trench coat and grabbed your phone, “okay look down at my phone! trust me it’s gonna’ be so cute!” you reassured watching as his face contorted into one of confusion.
you both looked down towards your open camera, your reflection gleaming back at you— the soft glow of the lights above you casting a pretty halo over the both of you.
“oh- that is is nice! cool…” izuku mumbled, playing with his bottom lip as he stared at the picture.
you laughed softly, “thank you.. by the way.”
he hummed, raising a brow at you. “huh? for what?..”
“for today.. and everything.” he flushed, staring at your sincere and slightly embarrassed face as you toyed with your gloves.
“o- oh! ah- of course! I love you.. don’t thank me for it.”
you grinned, leaning up to peck his cheek. “you’re cute.”
he stumbled, pressing a hand to his warm, read cheeks. “don’t say things like that! i’ll get the wrong idea!” he squealed.
you sweatdropped, adjusting your thick scarf. “aren’t we married?”
“oh!” he laughed dryly. “you’re right, sorry.. you make me nervous.”
