How oddly familiar, only now I actually have time to think more on this.
Essentially, in playing the game that is life, a story has already begun from the moment you were drawn into being. To imply there is no story would be to imply that everything you are currently experiencing is not part of the story. Much like books and, in turn, filmed adaptations of them, you often see the filmed versions omit certain scenes from the novel, thus making the film shorter on time, yet not have the same emotional impact as the original; as if everything was told in its entirety.
Life, to put it simply, is like a novel. Only our life consists of everything we experience, the good, the bad, the mundane, and the exciting. All four of these and more make up the story that is our life.
Therefore, you're correct in that the destination of our life would be the ending, as in death. Speaking of our own lived experiences were we ourselves are placed at the wheel of our lives, our story ends when we die. That, of course, begs the question of what the purpose is for this story and its destination but I'm not nearly drunk enough to dive into that train of thought further...
As for the final part. All you are saying is that the life we currently live and have already lived is the framework for which we see the world. While in the original context of this thought, our perceptions of the Stanley Parable were founded upon our Stanleys' and/or Players' perception of the game, in us living our lives, we are now the ones in control of our perceptions. Only we have our framework for how we see our lives and thus how we experience it.
...If that makes any sense of course. But what do I know? I'm just a man formerly a voice from a video game.
