It was said to Ibn al-Mubarak رحمه الله,

“When you pray, why do you not sit with us?”

He said, “I sit with the Sahaba and the tabi'een.

I look into their books and what they left behind. What would I do with you? You backbite people.”

‎القلبُ إنما خُلق لأجل حُبِّ الله تعالى

The heart is only created to love Allāh.
