boyz nite was what i used to call my movie nights i would stream when i was younger on livestream.com, from like 2009-2013. i'd make intros and bumpers for the stream and show a bunch of movies over the years. used to be called scorpy's boyz nite in, based off of an old programming block on a canadian game show channel. the audience was pretty much just my friends from the youtube poop chat

eventually that name was repurposed for the cytube/synctube equivalent we'd watch movies on from time to time post-covid. last year trog said he wanted to make something and i approached him with the idea for the new boyz nite, wrote up all the design docs and made all the mockups, including the account system and achievements and chat. and trog developed based off of that

technically its a site anyone can use but its pretty much just been me. ive been using it to watch videos, short films & movies with my community. i just put on whatever i find interesting and wanna share, whether it's documentaries or skateboarding vids or whatever. it's not fully around the clock but ive been using it often over the past few months. i will sometimes announce when its happening in my discord but i use it around the clock and change videos in the morning and at night for the people who are just hanging out in there. boyz nite is my baby <3
