Gustav Elijah Åhr (Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States; November 1, 1996-Tucson, Arizona, United States; November 15, 2017), better known by his artistic name Lil Peep, was a singer, rapper, songwriter, model, and American music producer. He became well known for having a strong emotional style in his melodies.
In 2015, he released his first mixtape called LiL Peep Part One, which generated 40,000 views in the first week, gaining popularity with the song "Star Shopping". Lil Peep's popularity continued to grow after the release of the song "Beamer Boy," which led to his first live performance alongside rapper and producer collective "Schemaposse" in March 2016 in Tucson, Arizona. Soon after, he released his first EP Feelz and another mixtape titled Live Forever. In 2016 he released Crybaby with members of the band GothBoiClique (GBC), and in September of that same year Hellboy was released, and his career was consolidated with songs like "Girls" with Horsehead, and "OMFG", collecting millions of reproductions in SoundCloud and YouTube portals, which even took him on his first solo US tour called "The Peep Show" from April to May 2017.
Despite his young age and short career, he managed to portray his feelings in his songs and thus mark millions of people, being sincere and very crude in his lyrics, in addition to this, he set a decisive style in the genre of Trap and for his This image caused a lot of "innovation" in the style of today's rappers.
