               When he suggested them playing one of the games together, she nodded. “Oh, of course. I’ve never played any arcade shooter games, though, so I’ll probably do terribly,” she twittered.

Mokuba smiled and nodded. “That’s okay. Just playing the game is where all the fun is!” He laughed, leading her toward one of his favourite shooters. 

When they got there, Mokuba put in the change required to play and grabbed one of the guns. “All we do is just shoot the zombies! To reload just shoot offscreen.”

               Kaiba nodded. He didn’t expect Mokuba would want to spend all of his down time sleeping, so he could believe him.

              At the mention of his meeting, Kaiba shook his head. “It’s already been rescheduled. Two weeks from now.”

Mokuba nodded. “Oh, that’s good. I’m glad you were able to get it rescheduled and can still go. Two weeks isn’t that long to wait.” He knew it was longer than his brother wanted though.

               As everyone paired off to go play games, Celandia had to smile as Mokuba approached her again. “Well, I didn’t go to arcades that much back home. A lot of my friends weren’t really into video games. It looks like a lot of the games here are similar, though. I’m sure you know which ones are fun.”

“No? Well we’ll have to just play everything then!” He chirped with a grin. Her words made him blush a bit but he tried to keep his cool. “A-Ah well I try. I mean I love the shooter games but they’re so much more fun with two people. Is that… Maybe something you’d like to do with me?”

               Kaiba nodded, but remained silent until Mokuba spoke again. That’s the one he expected him to choose. “Yes, as long as you stick with it. If you start blowing off school because you stay out too late after work, then I won’t let you do that.”

“I won’t do that.” The male spoke, shaking his head. “I’ll make sure I’m back when I need to be.” He looked back down before speaking again. “I messed up your meeting, is there any way to fix it?”

               She giggled. “Yeah, it worked out for the better…”

Mokuba nodded with a smile. “Brothers are awesome!” He grinned. “I’m glad you were able to get out here sooner rather than later, I wouldn’t have been able to meet you otherwise.”  

After a few more minutes, everyone got together and decided to go play some games, what worked out well was the fact that they all split off pretty well and Mokuba was happy that he was hanging out with Celandia. “Is there any kind of games you really want to play? I’m not sure how different Japanese arcades are.” He chuckled with a smile.

               She listened, watching him with wonder as he spoke. He’d even been to places like Egypt!

              At his question, though, she shook her head. “No, just home and here. I thought it’d even be a few more years before I could move here, but my brother helped me a lot.”

Mokuba nodded with a smile. “Brothers are awesome!” He grinned. “I’m glad you were able to get out here sooner rather than later, I wouldn’t have been able to meet you otherwise.”

               “Well, that’s up to you, to an extent.” Kaiba faced forward again to pay attention to what he was doing. “I’ll give you two choices. Either you start working this week, or you can be grounded for two weeks, and start working after that.” 

              He had a feeling Mokuba might find those conditions irrational, but the reasons why were obvious to him. If Mokuba started working this week, he could still see his friends when he wasn’t working. If he decided to be grounded for two weeks instead, he couldn’t see his friends outside of school in that time, but he would have a bit before he had to start working. Kaiba wasn’t going to give him a buffer to make a mistake like this again. That was the punishment, though. Having him work at the company again was something different. Giving him no opportunity to screw up again was the point.

“Seriously?” Mokuba asked, though he knew the answer to that. He was either grounded or working. He sighed before speaking. “I’ll come start back at the company this week. And… I won’t be grounded? I can still go out after work?”

               Well, that made things easier. Still, he wasn’t sure Mokuba would be too happy to hear this.

              “I was thinking about having you actually working there again. Not all the time—I’m not going to make you give up your social life. But, perhaps a few days a week to start, after school. And occasionally on Sundays, though I won’t force you to be there every week. If you end up wanting to do more, that would be up to you.”

              Only then did he look back at Mokuba. “I don’t want this to feel like a punishment. That’s not the point of having you do this, and it would be counterproductive it it was. However, giving you more responsibilities seems like it’d do some good at this point. Especially if you are interested in staying with the company, even more so if you plan on sticking with it when you graduate. With what’s been going on lately, it seems like a good time to make this change.”

Kaiba’s words made the male sit up, he knew his brother was being serious. He said he wouldn’t take away his social life, but it’d been awhile since he’d been back in the company. He didn’t think to even speak until Kaiba was completely finished. 

The male gave a simple nod at first. It was really going to be hard to change everything to work around him going to the company most days. No more late nights or partying really, but that seemed to be what Kaiba wanted. “Okay.” He spoke simply. He wasn’t going to put up a fight, he did want to still be a part of the company it was just going to be hard. “When do you want me to go in?” He asked, wanting to know how long he had to really hang out with his friends before starting to work.

               She couldn’t help but giggle bashfully. “Thank you…” She decided to switch back to Japanese then. “While I’m here, though, I should probably try to practice as much as a can…” Lifting a hand to tuck her hair behind her ear, she smiled at him. “It sounds like you get to travel a lot. Do you get to see many interesting places?”

Mokuba nodded. “Practice makes perfect!” He chirped before hearing her speak again. “Mmhmm, I’ve gone to so many different countries. I think Egypt has been the most interesting.” He wasn’t really going to say why though. “I love the traveling and seeing everything, even if it’s for work. We use our private transportation so it makes things just a little faster.” He shrugged. “Have you been anywhere else?”

“I’ve never felt better Mr. Deputy!” Mokuba grinned, taking his brother’s hand. “You’re going to be the best Deputy to the fire truck people.”

               Kaiba looked at their hands, then back at Mokuba. “Are… Are you drunk??”
