I love it here in Sacramento. Its in the center of nor-cal right between Tahoe and the Bay. As you can see from my pics, Im always out hiking, fishing, biking, ect... all within the Sac area. Gang activity can easily be avoided if you know where to go and avoid. Most gang activity happens in south sac. As far as the activities, there is fishing year round.. When a season ends for a fish, another begins for a different species. There's river rafting weekly on the American. There's plenty of farmers markets and music events. There's a bike trail that runs along the whole american river if you're into that. Skin heads do exist but i barely notice them, sometimes I see them gold panning while I fish. I recommend moving to the midtown area if you do move here, it's more of the "hip" area. 

I walked out to my patio this morning to water my cucumber and basil plants. I quickly noticed that my plants had many leaves that were chomped off by bugs. I took a closer look so find a gang of caterpillars trying to bulk up for the winter, I even saw a few cocoons! Time for revenge. I collected all the cocoons and caterpillars from my plants and headed to a nearby pond. Time to fish. Every cast caught me a decent crappie or bluegill. My plants haven’t died in vain.
