The shooter’s father has stated “this has nothing to do with religion” with regards to his son’s actions.

His son saw two men kissing a few months ago in Orlando and it made him angry. This was homophobia. This was a hate crime. Do not pretend that it was anything different.

okay wow i’m actually fucking LIVID at the lack of media coverage about the actual anti-lgbt domestic terrorist attack that happened this morning in orlando, florida (less than three hours from my house)

for everyone who hasn’t heard (which is most people) the shooter opened fire at around 2 am in the gay night club, pulse. reportedly over 50 rounds were fired and the man also had an explosive device on him. some people escaped, but there was a confirmed hostage situation. the police literally are not even putting an official death toll on this. they are just saying that there have been “mass casualties” and several people who escaped the scene said that “there were more dead bodies than they’ve ever been able to comprehend around them“. the police are literally calling this an “act of domestic terrorism”.

when this happened in paris, the eyes of the world were on them. everyone had a supportive french flag filter on their photos. there were tributes and memorials all over the world and almost constant news coverage. there was a safety check-in feature on facebook for those in the area.

i have SO many lgbt friends who live in orlando and i have no idea if any of them are safe. i’m seeing that one of my brother’s friends, who i’ve known since i was little and is a local DJ, has made it out unscathed. that’s all i’m hearing.

WHY are we not being treated with the same respect as any other terrorist attack????

PLEASE make sure that this attack against the lgbt community is as loud as the other senseless acts of violence that the media places priority on!!!!

To anyone affected by the shooting, my heart goes out to you. It is an awful thing, and the man that did it is awful as well. The fact that this is most likely a hate crime against gay people makes it even worse. Why can't people just be civil with eachother for once.

I just cried. At about 7:30 pm I started talking to someone on ifunny and they started getting depressed, well I talked to them for a total of about four hours, then they seemed better so I talked to someone else who started out as seeming very angry but once I calmed her down I got her to another site and was texting her about her anxiety attacks and how to help calm herself. I told her to do something, to get up and do something even if it seems impossible, do something to make her happy while she does her breathing, and reading also helps. And once I finished talking to her I returned to ifunny where I saw to my horror a picture of the first person I tried to helps, wrists, cut. And they were being bullied about their depression being fake and I was freaking out and typing too fast, and I was ready to bury whoever did this to my cinnamon roll. They either blocked the bullies or something because it stopped and I told them “yep. And you got through it.*hugs tightly*” but this was also something I told them earlier in the conversation the first time. It is now 2:00 am and I just finished talking to both of them. Depression and anxiety are not jokes or something to poke fun at, they are serious and don’t need to be had lied lightly except the person, you handle them like they are a peice of fine art.

My mom is sick an tired of my flannels. She even said I can't wear them after this month anymore because "they don't go with summer." So instead, because she knows I wear a flannel at least twice a week (I'm a true Winchester, be proud), she found this sleeveless flannel she said I can wear instead. I am wearing it over a t'shirt in the pic but it looks very cute (I think) as just a shirt.

This is me holding a cat in first period. And here’s the story behind these photos. Someone I guess found this kitten on the side of the road (it’s so flicking cute). And she was on her way to school so she just drove to school with the cat. Then she let people hold the cat and it got passed to me (and I almost cried), it was amazing. I seriously was so happy because I haven’t held a kitten since my cat Squirt was a kitten and that was roughly 8 years ago. A long ass time, so I was on the verge of tears in the middle of the classroom, and so I was trying not to cry. (I didn’t thankfully) Anyway after that the cat got passed back to the new owner and I think she went home after that. But it really brightened my day, just thought I should share.

btw, in the third photo on my arm, you can see a scar. I could be wrong but that scar, I believe was from Squirt. It was either him or one of the other two cats Punkin or Nightmare, but I am pretty sure it was Squirt and I know it was from a cat.
