True but the cold weather is nicer, you’re not sweating, the clothes are more comfortable and cuter.

Well, that's one way of looking at it. Wearing layers upon layers of clothes isn't exactly my idea of comfortable, though.

What a weekend.

Being around Luke now, had honestly made her want to do terrible things. Of course now she was a legal adult, so breaking the law was something she couldn’t. Though that didn’t ever stop her from wanting to just be with him again, have her family, tell the press and return home with him around her arms to flaunt in front of her father. Of course if she did that, she’d be cut off entirely and getting into a law school would be almost considered impossible. As much as she hated, yet vied for his forgiveness and affection — she couldn’t help but rely on him until she was finished with school. Her father had connections everywhere that could ruin her within seconds, and that was a risk she couldn’t take. So if that meant not being with Luke, then so be it. Or going out in public places with their son, and keeping it all a secret for the next two years. Emilia was going to do whatever it took to make sure that she ended up with it all. One day hopefully she would find her fathers weakness, take him down and not have to worry about it anymore. However, now was not the time. Now was the time to go out and enjoy her life with the guy she was head over heels in love with. Fix things with Luke and then worry about the rest. Have a few drinks or more so several, and everything would be better; at least by morning they would. Emilia had known all and well this night was going to end up with her clothes on the floor, him in her bed and waking up to find herself cuddled up. He would end up cooking her breakfast like he used to, because she never learned and the two would be happy again — at least for that moment. She didn’t exactly have the best record at this school, at least with men. It was no surprise to Luke that she’d fought with girls. However,she wasn’t about to let him ever find out about the men she slept with. Or better yet, any relationship. Call it lying, but she never cared. Now on their way to the bar, she stopped to shake her head with an evil like smirk. “No” she said before her eyes dropped down to her boobs. “You honestly think that I wore this outfit just for you” she joked, even though she was being completely serious. “Boobs help me get into places Luke, thought you would of learned this by now” with that she walked up to the bouncer and with a pouty face had explained to him how she left her I.D. at home and it was too far of a walk to go get. Of course without hesitation he had let her in, Luke following behind her. Going up to the bar, she smacked her hand on the counter and ordered two Vodka and Cranberries before turning around to stare at Luke, a pleased smile plastered across  her face.

Sometimes Luke hated the position he was in – his family had never been rich, always having just enough to get by. That was the way that hippies lived, after all, and his parents had been a prime example of that. It would have been so much easier if he had millions of dollars to spend on her and Micah, she wouldn't have to rely on her father to get the things that she needed and wanted. He knew that for as long as he couldn't support her, their chances of being together the way he wanted to weren't very high. She wasn't going to jeopardize her father's funds no matter how much she loved him and thinking that hurt him but he tried not to dwell on it. That only served as encouragement, fueling him to be the best he can be in his chosen career. He knew it was the best option for them right now, especially because of all the things that Micah needed. Not dwelling on those negative thoughts, he grinned and rolled his eyes when she mentioned that the shirt she wore wasn't only for him. Of course, he should have realized that. Emmy had the looks to have her way and that was one of the things that had pulled him towards her in the first place – she knew how to get under his skin, how to show off to get him riled up and what to do to make him crave her. It was the advantage of being a woman and as they walked into the bar, he chuckled at how easily the man had fallen for it. Luke didn't know about the things she had gotten into while he was in New York but he had a feeling he didn't want to know. He had a high tolerance for most things but when it came to Emmy? His temper was always thin, on its breaking point – hearing something about her would most certainly set him off no matter how many good times they spent together. As they were in the bar, he grabbed the drink from her after she ordered it, more than ready to get absolutely plastered with her to forget about anything but having fun. This was what their primary motive was and he was determined to fulfill it. He took a long drink from his glass, flashing her a grin when he was done. “Mmm... I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up doing shots off of you tonight, aren't I?” Luke teased her before taking another sip from his drink and licking his lips free of the excess when he was finished.

She could feel the butterflies in her stomach, fluttering and never wanting that feeling to disappear. Emilia never considered herself to be the type to fall in love, but with Luke she honestly had. Since leaving New York she hadn’t met anyone else, never dated anyone else. Of course she had a few boyfriends before Luke, but he had won her over. It was comical really, their families were so different from each other. That and the initial fact that Luke’s mother had once been with Emmy’s father. It might of so easily explained why her dad had hated him so much. He shared those piercing blue eyes with his mom, those eyes that she loved more than anything and the eyes that made her father cringe. She would even often joke that it resembled Harry Potter with Snape and Lily. Of course Luke never found that quite as funny. Nor did her father when it one time slipped in front of him. He of course despised really anything Emilia had done, that wasn’t to the utmost perfection that the Sutton’s had held over the years. She often even thought of why her father had hated her so much. It wasn’t that she was a bad person, but because she didn’t care for the reputation of her family. It was quite evident that she hadn’t for the many many times she would lash out against them, mostly with Luke. The sneaking out past eleven, climbing into each others windows late in the night to just cuddle. Even the several week trip that they had taken to Europe, all against her fathers will. She could never deny that she loved this man in front of her, more than she ever loved anything. Throughout her nine months of pregnancy, she often thought of just calling Luke and letting him know. He would of been in Seattle within no time, the two could of started their family and life together and everything would be fine. Certainly not rekindling whatever broken down fire they had going on now. She didn’t quite exactly know what she was doing when she kissed him. It just felt right, but everything had with him lately. Even more so when he called her his princess. That had sent tingling chills through her body. She giggled, hearing the slightest stutter before nodded her head ‘Yeah, we probably should’ she spoke in a hushed tone before taking his hand and walking out the door. She closed it in a swift motion before beginning to walk down the four flights of stairs. Having wished she could just push him up against the wall right then and there and done things she wanted to for the longest time now. 

It had been quite the adventure trying to get Emmy just to go out with him. Sure, he had been charming and kind but at first, she refused to do anything with him. She was afraid of what her father would te hink; it was no secret that Daisy Summers had rejected him all those years ago. It was really a stupid thing to hold a grudge over but it was even stupider to try and stop his daughter's happiness because of it. Emmy always joked around about it, though, and she didn't seem to care about the past, yet another reason he had fallen in love with her. He hated how her father treated her, he always had, but he couldn't do much but watch and influence Emmy to act out just to piss him off more. Ever since they first started dating, Luke refused to give up on her. Nothing was going to stop him from pursuing his true love and that's what he always did – he chased after her because he knew she felt the same about him. Europe had been when they both had truly known; it was their time across the world that led them to display their true feelings for each other and had further deepened their connection. It had been that trip that forced him to leave New York and go after her; he knew from that moment that their relationship was destiny. They were meant to be together and it was the conception and birth of Micah had made that even more obvious. As much as he wanted to throw her back into her apartment and give in to the boiling sexual tension that always existed between them, they had made plans and the least they could do was have a couple drinks before getting back into their old routines, just to settle any nerves and fears they had. He followed her down the steps and out the door of the apartment building, leading her to the nearest bar where they'd enjoy themselves at. Tugging her along until they arrived at the door, he glanced back at her before they got too close to the bouncer to hear them. “Do you have your ID?” he teased with a wicked grin, well-aware of the fact she was not supposed to be drinking, but they never let that stop them before. He reached into his back pocket to pull out his own before standing in front of the bouncer and smiling, waiting for him to let them in without a problem.

What a weekend.

Seeing him there now, in front of her, his bright blue eyes and all. It had left her speechless — almost memorized. She could almost hate herself for letting him go, and part of her had. However over the period of the past year and a half, Emilia had learned to just shut off her emotions. It sounded sadistic, but it was something she had lived with for months now. Now here he was in front of her, and she regretted all of it. Mostly taking away her son from him, seeing as she never had a god relationship with her father and Luke had one with his. One thing she could hate herself for, was starting to fall for him again. She couldn’t stand the thought of being happy again, only to have it ripped away from her. She knew that the minute she ended back up with Luke, her father would find out. It almost even became too hard to try and keep it a secret from her father that she kept her son. Or from anyone. She didn’t hate herself for making that mistake to not use protection. She was never embarrassed by it, she just never trusted anyone. No guy had ever come near Micah, he never had a father figure. Emmy honestly never thought that he would have one, but here Luke was. Hearing him talk about the present, she began to light up. Gently taking it from his hands, she stared at it for a few moments. Looking back up at him, a smile formed on her face before she stood up on the tips of her toes, where she kissed him on the cheek. “Thank you Luke, he’s going to love it”. she spoke softly before she took the bear and placed it on the counter behind her. A laugh escaped from her mouth, rolling her eyes playfully. “Oh you know me, I love to take stuffed animals to bars before giving them to son” she quipped. She watched his hand come up, as it started to caress her cheek — she felt completely speechless. Her eyes had locked on him, and for a moment nothing else around her had mattered. Emmy took her hand up to his, placing it over before releasing it off her face and taking a step in closer to him. Their faces inches apart, she kissed him lips ever so gently.

Watching Emmy react to him, it made him feel like they were together all over again. This was the very same expression she got whenever he had snuck into her house late at night to see her or when he had first offered to go to Europe with her. It was an expression he was all too familiar with – she looked so cute when she was stunned with nothing else left to say. Luke was hoping she did fall for him because he knew nobody could take care of her the way he did. Nobody else would take the time to learn about her like him and nobody else could be the father of his child, of their child. Micah was a blessing in disguise and even though they were young, Luke wanted nothing more than to build a family with her, to prove to her that she didn't need anyone or anything else to be happy. She deserved to be happy and the one person who could make that happen aside from their son was him. He knew they risked getting caught again and he knew that her father wouldn't show him any mercy – he never gave them his stamp of approval, not even when Luke went through hell and back to prove himself, to show that he was the one for his daughter. However, Luke had learned to deal with being on her father's bad side and while he didn't show it much, Emmy knew he loved getting any chance he could to stick it to her old man. The way she lit up as he spoke made his stomach flip, watching the familiar reactions that he had come to love and cherish. He couldn't help but nuzzle into her soft lips when she kissed him on the cheek, his smile brightening even more. Even if her father did find out, he just wanted to be there for her. No matter where he shipped her off too, Luke was going to follow her and his son to the ends of the earth. He wasn't going to let go of his new family, one that he was indebted to take care of no matter what happened. When she grabbed the bear from her, he chuckled and glared at her playfully. “I would hope not,” he teased but when she grabbed his hand next, he gulped. He anticipated the following motion and leaned forward, letting his lips brush against hers, returning her soft, sweet kiss. When it finally broke, he rested his forehead against hers and grinned, cheeks flushing slightly at the heat between them. “Let's...uh. Let's get going, princess,” Luke whispered, one hand slithering down to wrap around hers, squeezing her fingers gently.
