Yes, I was one of those American tourists who invaded Europe this year - but I was nice! We visited Italy in May, and wow… the gnocchi and tiramisu I ate changed my life. I think about it all the time. Also, my nerdily obsessed-with-the-ancient-world heart still sings when I remember all the 2000+ years old shit we saw!! Everything about Italy inspires me and, as an artist, I’m like… what do I do with all this inspiration? How do I infuse my daily practice with my love for ancient peoples and pasta? I’m still figuring that out, but I’m enjoying this more exploratory season in my creative endeavors.
