Still, I’ve been sketching a lot, and today I wanted to share some recent OC sketches. I’m slowly building up a group of characters I really care about, and it feels nice to finally put something out again.

Hi everyone. I’ve been a bit disconnected from social media lately. Honestly, the platforms haven’t been very kind to me. It can get tiring and even discouraging to post something and feel like it just fades away from people’s feeds.

That said, I haven’t given up. I’ve been focusing on my own projects and creating things I enjoy. I’ve also been thinking about what platforms seem to want, whether that’s mostly short videos or fanart. I guess I’ll be figuring things out and trying to understand how to make the algorithm stop pushing my posts aside.

For now, I’ll mostly be posting my OCs. Drawing them has been what I’ve been enjoying the most these days, and I already have many sketches of them ❤️

Unfortunately, I couldn’t complete all five due to time, but I’ll try to finish the full set next time. I’m especially happy with a few of them and would love to do full renders of those.

I’ve never drawn Valentine’s Day illustrations before, so I decided to create one featuring my OC

Today I worked on designing outfits for two of my OCs and started defining a style for them. I really like how it turned out, and it makes me want to draw more clothes for them.

I don’t usually draw clothes on purpose because it’s not something I normally enjoy. Drawing naked characters or characters with less clothing is honestly the best XD.

This time, though, I focused on clothing, simplifying it and studying where folds appear so it doesn’t look stiff or static. I think I managed to achieve that. What do you think?

I’ve been sketching outfits for some fanart characters after a long time without making fanart, and I recently tried a technique I hadn’t used before, using straight lines with the Figure tool in Clip Studio. It worked much better than I expected and has been really helpful for quick sketches and simplifying lines, so I think I’ll keep using it. I’ll probably share a short process video soon.

As a kind of challenge, I decided to post sketches five days a week as an excuse to create more content for my social media and to draw more consistently. It went pretty well this week, so I think I’ll try to keep it up this week too. I didn’t want to stick to a single sketch style because it felt boring to me, so each one has something a little different from the others.

To start the year, I wanted to share some sketch practice I’ve been working on. This year I’m really excited to talk more about my art process, so I hope those who are interested in my work enjoy it and stick around to see how I grow.
