Hey asswipe, hope you miss me as much as I don’t miss you. Joking.. no, I’m not. How’s Kat doing? Is she still talking to that guy of hers? She better be with the way she was telling me about him before I left. Let her know that everything’s fine in Seattle, even though it doesn’t compare to ATL. KD, I doubt you’d know, but how are the old folks doing? Last time I returned their call was the day before we flew out here. I wish they weren’t so upset about my whole art major thing, but at this point there’s nothing to change what happened.

Anyways.. when you ignore the whole “education and studying” stuff I’m doing up here, it’s actually pretty nice. The parties are lit, not as much as the ones you took me to, of course, but they’re getting there. I miss our little night adventures when Mom and Dad were sound asleep, and I could drop that little act for them. Sneaking out to parties with some of your squad when you guys weren’t busy running the blocks, drinking until one of your buddies had to bring me back to our spot. We had some nice times, bro.

Damn, now that I think about it, I really hated it, pretending for them. Actually no, I didn't hate-- I detested it. Loathed it. What was the point of it? Why did I have to be their perfect little child? I never understood it. All those tennis practices, ballet classes, violin lessons.. why? To this day, they won’t give me a valid reason for everything, for why I had to be their little prized possession, the dress-up doll they spent years attempting to groom into some “fine, young lady.” It was absurd. And of course they lashed out as I got older and broke away from that path, especially when I switched out the tennis racket and ballet shoes for boxing gloves. It drove them nuts, I loved it.

But this is all besides the point, I’m writing to you, not them.. I miss you lots, Kaiden. You should come sometime to visit, with Katrina too. I have some people for you guys to meet, a few that actually remind me of you. You’ll like them.
