so, who’s this ricky guy anyway?
ive posted quite a few oc sketches on Instagram, but ive never fleshed them out to anyone publically till now, figured tumblr was a good format.
the short answer: bane of the robocops. Ricky literally wears his heart on his sleeve. everything you need to know about him is evident on first meet. he loves people, and wants people to live their best lives. antiestablishmentarianism was the natural conclusion. he’s a good guy, a real helping-grandmas-cross-the-street type.
how many concussions has he had? eleveneen. newer artwork reflects that his left eye doesn’t quite open anymore. he deals with chronic pain and nerve issues from a myriad of childhood cycle race incidents that left him with a head full of brain soup. somehow this has made him virtually indestructible.
most of all, ricky loves his friends. logi and sebastian are his people, and he’d throw himself into danger to protect them every time. logi (in the back) is kind of the mellow straight man between them. sebastian is rickys crush, and the one person he’d consider being mildly less reckless around.
i put the best of me into ricky, and fleshed out his character with adjectives ive never had. that lack of self-preservation, the bravery, the recklessness is what takes him from a brainchild to a character, y’know? he’s very special to me. :]
