Starting it with the question, as we get older in age and stay longer in service, does it get any easier?
Definitely NOT! It doesn’t get any easier nor simpler. As sir John said it just gets different and string of victories get more wonderful and you have better past history upon which to build your faith for the future, but it never gets any easier because satan hinders our service. Accountability gets weightier, our life has more critics than before, and every decision has more impact to others than ourselves. Truly it doesn’t get any easier and it never will. The comfort from Apostle Paul to hold on is this,
For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory. It is a trustworthy statement:
For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him;
If we endure, we will also reign with Him;
If we deny Him, He also will deny us;
If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.2 Timothy 2:10-13 (NASB)
Enjoying while enduring is the lesson of this year
J.C Ryle said
We must run with patience, or we shall never obtain. There may be many things we cannot understand, much that the flesh could perhaps wish otherwise, but let us endure unto the end, and all shall be made clear, and God’s arrangements shall be proved best.
Think not to have your reward on earth, do not draw back because your good things are all yet to come. Today is the cross, but tomorrow is the crown. Today is the labor, but tomorrow is the wages. Today is the sowing, but tomorrow is the harvest. Today is the battle, but tomorrow is the rest. Today is the weeping, but tomorrow is the joy. And what is today compared to tomorrow? Today is but seventy years, but tomorrow is eternity. Be patient and hope unto the end.
Today is a celebration but tomorrow might be another rejection, but I stand still and praise God for the 27 years of His preservation. It may never get easier, trials may escalate on a higher level, attacks maybe intense from every corner, but I hold on! If God was able to sustain me this far, I know He is able to finish it.
Thanking Him for the gift of family, friends and core group that never fails to pray and encourage.
Every single day my heart shouts for gratitude, what have I done to deserve such kind of love and support.

So I want a guy who would write a song for me. Who would tell me that it’s okay for me to be me, all of me, at all times. The lyrics would be from the heart, and he’d tell me the truth: that I am difficult to love but that he loves me anyway. And that sometimes he doesn’t know how to love me. But that he is doing his best and that he’s always going to do his best. Or maybe it’s not a song, maybe it’s a poem, maybe it’s a painting or a silly blog post .

…and I finally finished my 25 things list before turning 25 (yey), FYI, I started writing about this back in July 16 of the current year. The reason is simply not just to tick a bucket list (which I just did) but because I have learned that you are never too young to have wisdom. Age is no guarantee of maturity after all. Anyway, below are for your reading and I would really appreciate a comment for every point (lol). I hope you will learn something from it. Share me your thoughts 😊
1.You don’t follow your heart – you GUARD it
- Our generation always say to follow your heart, but to be honest the bible says heart is deceptive, so clearly you don’t follow it you guard it and allow the Lord to reveal to you His truths and will through His words.
2.You go out of your comfort zone for growth not to wander
- I always wanted to be a nomad, a wanderer shutterbug and when I did, I saw a greater thing than just leaving my home country, its actually living my calling.
3.You don’t get scared of things unknown
-Yah, I know I’m young and I have fears too about my career, family, relationship but c’mon life is too short to be afraid of things. The fact that we are not given a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
4. You will have time of weakness and its ok
- I know not all the coming days will be okay. I will be having some moments of exhaustion that I just want to give up, there will be discouragements in chasing and living my dreams, there will be time of anxiety about family and relationship. Nevertheless, it’s okay for me to have those moment of weakness. I admit I have limitations and imperfection, but one thing is for sure I have an unlimited and perfect God. Those moments of weakness are actually the moments of strength from the Lord.
5.You have to find time to treat yourself
- There’s nothing wrong with celebrating success through ice cream, cheese cake, a cup of chocolate with marshmallow floating on it or simply a black coffee. It’s okay to pamper yourself once in a while.
6. You have to be okay with people leaving
- Well, yeah! Changes are inevitable, people will come and people will go. At times the changes are not the way you expected. When you are used to have people around you then suddenly you have to let them go. The person you used to see in the office is now moving to a different company, the person you used to spend the whole Friday together praying and worshiping is now moving to different country. In fact, it’s not just the people, even the place too. Your comfortable office is not yours anymore, your room where you pray, cry, laugh and watch your fave sitcom will be for someone else once you move out. All of it will definitely change. But its ok, that’s how it is meant to be. We can’t be stuck in the same place with the same people at all times, that’s just boring ( a lil bit). I mean if we are growing, we really need to be moving.
7.You must have priorities in life
- Reality is some people will not understand your priorities, trust me they will question it. But who cares, it matters to you. If they don’t respect it, its fine, stick with them they are important to you. At the end of the day it’s your life and what really matters in your life must be taken seriously by you. There is a call for an intentional step from your side.
8.You will quit at one point or the other and it happens
- Wait, I aint saying that you have to quit now, I myself believe in the saying that says “bloom where you are planted”, What I mean is that, there will come a time when quitting is just the best thing to do. For example, quitting a job where you aint growing anymore, leaving an unhealthy environment, a relationship that suffocates you. You got to set yourself free from those things that holds you back from achieving your full potential. In as much as I believe on those blooming things I also believe in moving is growing 😊.
9.You have to find out who you are
-Identity crisis, people will always have that kind of issue in life. So as early as now stand on your identity. You are a child of God, that calls to deeper understanding and knowledge of who you are. You have to find out your purpose and live it. It will definitely take time so start praying and asking God for your calling.
10.You have to go back home once in awhile
-People say home is where the pain is, you know what? Home is where the healing too. C’mon face those fears, they are your family. Your ONLY family, the people who have known you since you were a kid. Deal with those issues and leave home again with new vigor and inspiration.
11.You have to learn to start all over again
-After doing your quitting stuff, open a new chapter of your life. Don’t feel sorry about closing those doors, rather anticipate a better place where God will bring you. Hold on to His promise that He will never leave you nor forsake you. The good thing now is that it’s all up to you where do you want to start your story again, are you going to start with the Lord’s leading or your flesh wanting?
12.You NEED to forgive people
-Forgive and forget, well they don’t work for me. I will forgive but it doesn’t mean I will forget. How in the world can you forget such awful experiences? You can’t forget it, but you can choose to forgive those people involve. God said I remember your sins no more, I know that for sure. How can a God who is an all knowing forget things? He doesn’t, BUT he decided not to remember them. Those two are different, because you really cannot just wash away those events in your mind, at times you can even picture them out. The only thing that you can do is to choose not to remember them as you have received the healing from within. Unforgiving heart really weigh you down, and you don’t want that. Set others free by forgiving them and ultimately you set yourself free.
13.You should be ok with crying
-Some of this days you will be going home crying, hurt and disappointed. Your head is down, your heart is broken, you wanted someone to cling on and you can’t find any. But you have to remember, those are the times where you have to go to your secret hide out and talk to God, run to His arms, kneel down and pray, experience His comfort and let your heart be filled with His love. I really believe that my strongest time is when I’m there kneeling, crying out and communing with God.
14.You have to be a good recipient of comments
-Social media is exciting because of the comments area, how come you don’t find it exciting too 😊 . Everyone has their own thoughts, it’s up to you to receive them constructively. Those comments don’t define who you are, they may at one point but you have to take them to build you, not to compare and hurt you. I know it takes a lot of maturity to be able to receive them positively, so practice now.
15.You have to believe that no man is an island
-Don’t think you are strong on your own. We all need someone. Well for me I’m grateful for not just having one, but a lot of buddies in life. They are the family you have outside home. The good thing about it is that you get to choose who will be a part of that family 😊.
I thank God that even if we are away from each other I know I have friends that on times of trouble they will not call me but will pray and call unto God.
16.You have to be busy too
- When I say, you have to prioritize things, that’s not to keep you on the loop of what you wanted. It’s to focus you on the important things and be BUSY about them. Yes, being busy for me means putting ALL my effort to what is important to me. It is going the extra mile, always pursue excellence in all your undertakings. So, you really have to be very careful on what are your priorities in life. Make sure you are investing in the eternal and not just the physical, because trust me they don’t last.
17.You have to be kind
-Yah, our generation nowadays thought that being kind means desperate or weakness. What a corrupt definition. Since when? Be kind because that’s the right thing to do. This world is filled with people who are busy looking after themselves, stepped up and make a difference. Remember the Golden rule? “Do to others whatever you would have them to do to you”.
18.You have to keep your promises
-Again, we all hear bitter people saying ‘promises are meant to be broken’. Praise be to God because He doesn’t break His promises. His promises will always come to pass. Therefore, if the God you are serving keeps His promises, aren’t you supposed to be doing the same? The bible is clear, let your yes be yes and your no be no. You have to be truthful in what you say and be trustworthy with your promises. I know at times we forget things, so when in doubt just be honest.
19.You don’t just give up on people
-I know you have experienced being left out, isn’t it painful? It is yah? So, you have to be careful, not to let others feel the same, intentionally specially by you. Learn to stay with people, listen to their stories, consider their problems and struggles and pray for them. I’m grateful I have people who does it for me. Now it’s my turn to be one.
20.You have to stay fit – Spiritually
- It takes a personal responsibility on your part to feed you spirit through the Words of God. At times, we just stay satisfied with the preaching every worship service without digging on our own. C’mon He is your God too; the bible is available 24/7.What holds you back not to read it? You can’t understand? Afraid to make wrong interpretation? Or simply lazy enough to open and read? God is not a secret God. He would love to reveal himself to you though His words.
21.You have to give genuinely
-That means giving in secret. You don’t have to announce. Giving genuinely is giving with or without recognition from people. You will feel the deep joy of giving if you don’t expect anything in return.
22.You need to understand that greatness is servanthood
-Matthew said, “the greatest among you must be your servant, he who exalt himself will be humbled and he who humble himself will be exalted”. That’s a crystal-clear instruction we can all follow without a seminar or lecture on how to do so.
23.Above all, you have to LOVE without conditions
-The author of Corinthians says ‘love never fails’ and it truly does. Prophecies will cease, knowledge will pass away, but love will last forever. So, learn to love others. Even when they disagree with you. Even when they look, act or talk differently than you. Even when you don’t feel like you have any love to give, because you have. We love because God first loved us. Love her, love him, love them. Love covers a multitude of sins, problems and junk of brokenness. Love the way Jesus love.
24.Repeat the previous point
25.Keep repeating the previous point. Again, and again, for the rest of your life. For every age, for all of your days.
my fave sitcom of all time... the laughters are real 😂😂😂 and yeah the sighs too 😭😭😭 I hate it when i finished a series and i get to love all of the characters 😌😭😪😓 #friends #thebigbangtheory #sitcom #fave
I'm Only Human: I've been in love, and I've been heartbroken. I have felt so amazingly happy, I felt like dancing, and so extremely sad, I felt as if I couldn't live another day. I'm only human. I have been stressed. I have been depressed. I have been all alone. I have been joyful. I have been blessed, and I have been grateful. I've gone through the trials, the pain, and suffering of life. I have had ups and downs in my relationships. I've been called ugly, and beautiful. I'm only human. There have been those days When I've felt my heart couldn't take the pain any more, and all I wanted to do was wake up from this horrible dream I felt I was living in. There have also been days, when my heart overflowed with so much love, it truly took away my breath. I'm only human. I've been used, abused, and taken for granted. My life is anything but picture perfect. I'm not the smartest. I'm not the prettiest. I have been hurt by the ones I've loved, and rejected by the people I called my friends. I have felt cherished, special, 1 in a million. I am only human. I've taken what life has thrown my way, and made it through. Only by the grace of God, have I made it without being defeated. Sometimes, behind the smiling face of those dear to you, is a broken, hurting, wounded, abandoned, and lonely person. Take the time to ask, show you care. Maybe one day, when you are feeling as if you cant take another step, someone will look you straight in the eyes, see right through to your soul, and say: No. Your not okay. How can I be there for you? After all We are only Human.
Deception is one of the scheme of the devil against the believers, the enemy will always try to twist the truth to take away something from us, and may it be joy, peace, love or anything that will make us closer to the Lord for we know that the enemy’s job description from the book of John is to “STEAL, KILL and DESTROY”. The revelation of this message have bended me in a way I never imagined, I can say it is a turning point of my life that I have to be aware of the things that I am doing and the decisions that I am choosing. It brought to my senses the simple things that I have done without even realizing the effect of it to other people. Often times it is not deception anymore but rebellion, from this message of Sister Lorena I had a better understanding of their difference.
When we commit sin we try to justify ourselves that it is ok since everyone is doing it anyway, but in this preaching I have known that at times we have made the decision to rebel against the Lord. We act as if it is a normal thing to do already without even realizing that some people around us are being stumbled because of what we are doing, the danger is when no one is being hurt we even reason out more that it is ok since no one is being affected, only to find out that we are being deceived again by the enemy. It is not being perfect since we are being molded by the Lord, but it is seeking the leading of the Holy Spirit every time that we are about to make choices or to do something.
The good thing about it is that even if we have allowed the enemy to penetrate and even if we have given him the power to manipulate and deceived us, the LORD our GOD is so good that He can turn every pain into praise, that even if the enemy sent it, the Lord is able to turn every situation to show His goodness and faithfulness to us.

- obligation or willingness to accept responsibility (Mirriam Webster)
Accountability for us is like a burden, but the principle of this is biblical, like Moses in the book of Genesis, God appointed Aaron to be with him and God even asked him to gather 70 elders of Israel to share with him the burden of the people even in the beginning of time we remember the story of Noah and the flood, the animals were in pairs when they enter the arc. In the New Testament we can also see that when Paul was used by the Lord it was not only him, he has also partners in the ministry. We can read in the book of Acts how he and Silas were used by God, and many other characters.
I do believe that having an accountability partner is not just an obligation in the to "do list" of a Christian, but it is a way of God to deal with us or to help us in the things that we are yet to encounter. As the bible says in Ecclesiastes that two is better than one.
