Sometimes I feel like changing Kevin and Shelly's heights and going for a "tall girlfriend x short boyfriend/couple" dynamic, but then I remember that the reason I gave them similar heights in the first place was precisely so I could sometimes make one look taller than they actually are and the other smaller even though he's the tall one
That, and also because Shelly's family is supposed to be on the shorter side, though in this headcanon Kevin is only short until he hits his growth spurt, since he's barely 13 years old
If you ask me, these would be their heights (although I was already planning a post about this, and I apologize for any mistake regarding the inch measurements, honestly, I don't know how to handle them)
Kevin: 1.64m/5'4"
Shelly: 1.61m/5'3"

Well, I didn't expect we'd get any new info on PD anytime soon but we actually have now. π

First up here are some unused characters and some who have differences in their models.
Looks like there's 2 cut Fantasy campaign characters, an Elf Boy who looks like it's costume got repurposed for Elven King Bradley's costume, an Elf Girl who looks similar to Heidi with the hair and a flower on her hair, I don't think that's Heidi, remember how both in the show and games they like to re-use named characters' hair and make new recolored characters out of them.
The Native Hunter doesn't have a red cross on his costume that he does in the final game.
Captain Wendy was supposed to be called Pirate Wendy originally looking at the file name of her art, her art also has different lighting compared to final game and there's also different card icons on there too.
There looks to have been a another different Sci-Fi Brute for the campaign, this one looks like an alien. I'm guessing this one got replaced with the recolored Subzero Titan we have in the final game.
A Sci-Fi Carol model was made but that went unused. Unsure what her card name would have been. While we know Carol had a card now we sadly though have no image of the unused Sci-Fi Karen model we know of.
Mr. Slave Executioner in-game originally had an axe like he does in his card art, in the final game it got replaced with a dildo.
Dr. Mephesto originally was supposed to be called. Dr. Octoass.
Here's also some images of an early prototype map layout which had an interactable feel to it where looks like you could have explored NK's house.
I can't overlook this information about the "Sci-Fi Carol" design, I was under the impression that only the designs for the men of the McCormick family had been created and that theyβd simply forgotten the girls, but I just found out there was a design for the two of them as well

Something that I really like about Kevlly is that despite (or because) being the oldest, theyβre both very clearly the least favourite child of their families, and also imo are probably also the children that are closest to their fathers personality-wise. And Shelley does have quite a few girl friends that we see, I do like the idea that she and Kevin can kinda likeβ¦ just connect and commiserate on things and understand why the other might sometimes need to vent about their younger siblings even if they do care about them but itβsβ¦ complicated.

The idea that Stuart might actually be emotionally sensitive but constantly holds it back, since he didn't grow up in a safe environment where he could express it, makes me feel like Iβm turning him into a copy of Kevin just so their relationship hurts me more

Part of me would like to see the Marsh family as a normal American family, without other nationalities or anything like that, just Americans
And another part of me has the headcanon that Stan and Shelly have Native American ancestry on Sharon's side
The thing is, I know there are plenty of things that could contradict this like her maiden name, which isn't Indigenous at all (though considering US naming laws, it likely comes from her father's side), and the fact that thereβs an episode where Randy tries to prove he has Native American ancestry. But weβre talking about Sharon, not Randy, so let me just talk this through with myself: I have this headcanon, but Iβm not sure whether to make it canon in my AUs or not
To be honest, I like to base my headcanons on the series' canon material or sometimes on other people's ideas, since they make sense to me and are really cool but I honestly don't know how I arrived at this conclusion, though I do have two theories
1)After seeing so much fan art of Stan where he was given a more tanned complexion, I concluded that there was a collective headcanon that he had Native American or Latino ancestry (though I won't go into the latter specifically, as thatβs a topic for another post) or perhaps people simply liked the look, felt it added personality, or just wanted to be inclusive, even though I know it likely stems from a specific nationality or ethnicity
2) I realized that in my drawing style, Iβve always drawn Shellyβs eyes very small, not at all slanted, but at least in my headcanons about her appearance, I always note that her eyes are small, with an intense or "hunter-like" gaze; I could also interpret them as "slanted, but not 100% so
In any case, this headcanon would only apply to her ancestry; it isn't reflected in Sharon's surnames or customs. Perhaps her great-grandfather was Native, and the lineage later mixed with European/white blood, yet the traits that remain clearly show a blend of genes from several generations back
