Don’t think I didn’t see that moment of hesitation in Tanjiro’s part when Nezuko made a beeline towards Kazumi-san and worried girl. ‘Cause Tanjiro can put his own life at risk for his sister all day, but if Nezuko attacked someone else? Well, he’d have to fight her and that would’ve been devastating.

Is...is that Heartless demon really dead? Because if they are, dang Nezuko, you’ve really gotten stronger after the coma!

Also, we don’t get internal monologue for Kazumi-san like we do Heartless demon, but I’m guessing it’s an interminable string of ‘?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!!??!!?!?’

I’m not even going to criticise Heartless demon, ‘cause Tanjiro and Nezuko are that unusual.

Ok, various things:

1) these duplicates have different emotional and physical (one’s eaten up, the other hasn’t; different number of horns) states. So, do they honestly still count as the same person? Like, can they even return to being the same being? And, if they can’t, isn’t that directly a new different person?

So, yeah. That’s the bane of escort missions, if you go too far from the people you’re supposed to protect, they’re gonna get killed. We understand the frustration Tanjiro.

So, first thing first, we take a step back to recap some juicy lore. And it is juicy, holy shit! Like, usually this type of monster problem just...kinda happens? But no, Kimetsu no Yaiba has a timeline of when demons were created + the name of the one responsible. That’s... way more than most shonen protag get, but also, given the info they have and that the Demon Slayer Corps exists, this Kibutsuji Muzan is really, really good at not being caught.
