thinking about how koto was literally just 11 the first time she held someone dying who didn't want to die. the way they clung to her , pulling at her , screaming that they didn't want to die & how afterwards she just broke down , cradling them & sobbing. she didn't even get their name. it was too late. all she could do was comfort them & then cry.
