She was one of - if not the - funniest people I have ever met. Her dry sense of humour (combined with us being the only brits in the building) meant that we instantly got on like a house on fire… and instantly drove some of the more ‘no dark humour only toxic positivity and nauseating affirmations ~aggressively american~’ therapists up the wall. Not only that but she was incredibly smart, but somehow never made you feel inferior with it, in fact she always went out of her way to be kind to others - even when her own mind was hellbent on tormenting her. She loved Harry Potter, music (The Smiths, The Cure and MCR specifically), her precious pup George and her family and friends on both sides of the world. She was remarkably brave and determined (even though she should never have had to be) and fought like an absolute trooper to the bitter end. She had just come out of a 3 year admission, got a job as a support worker, put down her first payment on a car and seemed to be happier than she had been in a while.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to martyr her (she would hate that)- she wasn’t perfect, but she was (and is) so very loved and will be so very missed.
