Somehow I imagained that if I could work with children the fact that I am tone deaf, have no sense of rythm and have issues with motor skills would all be okay.
Noone told me I can't stick my tounge stright out. Noone told me I don't get past my upper lip with my tounge and that it is flat. Noone told me my jaw moves with my tounge from side to side.
Noone prepared me that my motor skills caused impairment in my oral motor skills. How do you teach someone something you can't do yourself? I don't know. I only know that I love this job and these children and I don't want this to be what öets me down.

Didn't introduce myself right and the optician thought I was a nurse...so when the patient said she need to pee, he looked at me and was like, "what can we do about this?" And I was like...Uuuuuh...I'm just a student. Of speech therapy. I'm not even touching that 90+kg patient and wheelchair. Especially not when she just unbuckled.
