was that [ CHARLES MELTON ] spotted down at the shoreline of east hamptons main beach? must just be, [ ISAAC 'ZAC' WILLIAMS ] the [ TWENTY-SIX ] year old [ SOLDIER/ BARTENDER ]. whenever i hear [ HEAVEN by JULIA MICHEALS] it reminds me of them. they are known for being [ HOSTILE ] but they make up for that by being [ CONFIDENT ]. they have been living in the hamptons for [ ALL THEIR LIFE ]. “exactly and each child learns at their own pace, you can’t force something into them and expect them to get it right away,” she studied her students and could tell, each and every one of them had a different way of learning. “i mean… more or less, were you a bad child?” naomi inquires in a teasing tone. a playful scoff escapes her lips as she rolls her eyes. “y’know what? i’m going to get a video of my students telling you that.” 

he stared at her as she spoke, somehow he was happy to hear her words, knowing she was one of those good teachers, he was sure that a few of her students were happy to have her in their life. “that’s right, i hope it’s different these days.” zac replied to her. “oh -- i was a very bad, bad child.” he said, and every word of it was the truth. “okay then-- let’s see if you’re speaking the truth teacher.”

as issac looked down at her she looked up at him brows raised, “what are you doing?” she began to ask before he began his little charade making her roll her eyes and let out a breath shaking her head, “you want to crash a wedding? the day that’s supposed to be the best for someone? for a free drink?” she asked trying to wrap her mind around it all, “and you want me to find something else to wear? to said wedding we’re getting a drink at?” she added on looking down at the outfit she was wearing, “you can get a free drink at a bar! i’m sure we can find a bar that someone will buy that pretty face a drink.” she smiled up at him

“oh come on it’s not the same.” he pointing out as he waved his hand in the air. “it’s something that gives you the ‘forbidden’ thrill.” he tried to explain to her his intentions. “it’s not all about the free drink, you get to dress up fancy for no reason, dancing, drinking maybe hit on some guy that you fancy from there?” he said, he met one of his ex flames like that. “it’s going to be fun.”

“understandable, all kids learned differently and teachers need to realize that.” she simply states with a shrug of her shoulders. “i could see why you were very fond of her,” she smiles softly, he just felt safe in the classroom. “as if! i’m sure my students will tell you differently.” naomi mentions with a chuckle. 

“i do think that they need to release that some kids need help to communicate with other.” he stated, although he knows that things are different than now. “yeah-- you can tell a lot by knowing how i was as a child, don’t you?” zac asked. “i’m gonna need a proof.” he teased.

“see i’m going to have to pass on that idea.” she was saying looking at the other as she made a face, “it doesn’t look particularly safe and i know i’m the wild child but i just don’t think this is the smartest choice for us to do.” she said with a shake of her head, “i mean there has to be a safe option right? we can’t just do that.” she pointed out as she questioned truly trying to find her way out of whatever trouble she could avoid for the time being with everything coming out soon she had to play it safe it was easier to play it safe.

‘you’re not smoking out here, are you?’

the voice of za’s boss at the cafe she worked at rang out behind the building, where zarina was taking an indulgently long break. the back door opened and the manager poked their head out, looking between their employee and the person standing with them. “no one’s smoking out here, boss dude. we’re like, zero percent interested in that stuff. swear on my life,” she assured her manager, who gave them the ol’ stink eye after hearing za’s strained voice, but still went back inside. the cloud of smoke that exploded out of zarina was thick and potent, leaving her coughing, laughing, and extending the joint she’d been hiding behind her back to their partner in crime, “i swear some people need to stop being so uptight about this. the world is going to shit, you’d think they’d want us to be as relaxed as possible. not to mention my shift ends in like thirty anyway,” she scoffed, shaking her head, “anyway, thanks for not blowin’ up my spot. you want a hit? either that or i owe you a late lunch after this.”

zac wasn’t a smoker but sometimes he could use to be relaxed in some kind of natural way, if that’s a good excuse. he pressed his lips together and holding his laugh back, trying to look serious as the other spoke to the manager. as he saw him going back he let out a chuckle. “you could be an actress.” he teased, he didn’t even know how her boss believed her. “nah not today, but you can take me on the lunch deal for sure.” zac said and winked. he was an foodie guy so he could never say no to food. 

“you’re telling me you’re one of those students that weren’t there to learn?” she rises a brow. naomi in the other case was conditioned to be a good student, it was imprinted upon her and her parents always strive for her to be the best. “apples are definitely one way to win a teacher’s heart.” she laughs before leaning back in her seat, rising her brow at his sudden change of tone, laughing ever so slightly. “mm, not bad.” 

“i just didn’t like the framework i guess.” he said, although he ended up being in the army for several years -- ironic. “she was one of the only people who actually let me talk and express myself. the others just threw my out of class.” he shared. “not bad? it was perfect -- better than yours for sure.” he teased and let out a laugh. 

“a troublemaker now are we?” he rises a brow, a smirk appearing across his lips. he could always use more troublemakers in his life, causing chaos where ever they go. “moved here about five years ago, but i’ve always lived in new york. how about yourself?” 

“i ran away from that nickname.” zac pointed out. but the other looked like someone who won’t judge him for his past. he huffed. “oh new york is fun--” he said and nodded. “i’ve been here my whole life but ditched the hamptons for the army seven years ago.” zac replied. 

serenity rises a brow at his words before shaking her head, “oh, so definitely a delinquent.” she laughs, wondering if the people who had lived the town were aware of this reputation he had. “nice to meet you,” she states eyeing his hand for a split second before extending hers. she couldn’t remember the last time someone did that. 

he couldn’t help but let out a chuckle. “but i promise i’m not a dangerous one.” at least now. he teased. “but if this town has a short memory then i’m safe from rumors.” he added quickly. “same--” he shook his head. “don’t know much gentleman?” he asked her as he put back his hands into his jacket’s pockets.

she figures that winter wonderland had always been a hit in the hamptons, knowing that many travelled to attend it as well to make their holiday season special. serenity was lucky enough to experience it three years in a row. “i’m guessing you were a delinquent teen?” she teasingly jokes before smiling. “serenity,” she answers. 

״let’s say i didn’t really leave the best impression on people.” he said, telling the truth sadly. but the army did change him for good, but some of the bad habits are still there. “serenity-- i’m zac.” he said putting a hand and then offering it. towards her.

“definitely far from it,” he nods his head, laughing a bit. charity events weren’t really his thing, although he wouldn’t mind playing one. he was much more into the night club scene. “you’re right about that, i don’t mind at all.” he states with a shrug of his shoulders. “i’m sure i already have a bad reputation around town.” 

“oh you and me both, i think there are some stores who still don’t like when i come into them--” he said and couldn’t help but laugh. “so how long you’ve been here?” he asked. 

“i have to give it to high school teachers though, some students could be little shits and aren’t even there to learn.” she shakes her head, knowing that she wouldn’t teach anything higher than the seventh grade. a laughter falls from her lips as she rises a brow, “did you ever tell your elementary teacher you had a crush on her?” naomi playfully rolls her eyes, “and you think your teacher voice is any better?” 

“that’s exactly what i thought might have been my problem.” he confirmed, he wasn’t a good student that’s for sure. but he was very misunderstood and just got kicked out. “god no-- but i did give her apples.” he said playfully. “i never thought about it actually.” he replied quickly. “good morning class, please turn page seven.” he said firmly. “what do you say?”

the new year was just around the corner and eliana was more than excited to get the perfect outfit ready for the occasion. she had woken up extra early today in order to hit as many stores as she could before caving and wanting to go back home under her warm blankets. one thing was for sure, she wasn’t the biggest fan of cold weather. but, ironically enough, she liked snow and sleeping with the winter cracked open on a cold winter night. she had a couple of bags occupying one of her arms and was on a mission to get at least one more dress because she had full intentions of letting her followers pick out the dress she’d wear for the holiday, but she paused when she passed by one shop that had the most beautiful dress she had ever seen. “isn’t that the most beautiful dress you’ve ever seen?” she asked the person next to her, too fixated to see who it was,” do you think i could pull it off though?”

“i don’t know about that… there’s some teachers that are pure rude.” she states with a shrug of her shoulders knowing that in the break room some teachers talk badly about their students. a small laughter falls from her lips before she rolls her eyes. “how rude!” 

“oh i didn’t have good teachers in high school, but in elementary school they were just too nice. i think i had a crush on one of them.” he joked. “i’m just being honest.” he said and couldn’t help himself but laugh. 

chad shakes his head, “definitely not.” he laughs before shrugging his shoulders. “most likely that’s the case, i mean i have a pretty unforgettable face.” he states in a cocky manner. 

the guy laughed along with the other guy. “far from that you say?” he asked, referring to the charity event. “sometimes it’s a bad thing.” he said playfully. like him, zac was known as bad news most of his years around town. “but i bet you don’t mind it.” 

“seems like good memories to have,” she smiles, it must be nice to have good childhood memories about the lovely winter wonderland which seems to be tradition here in the hamptons. “things haven’t really changed since the previous years.” she admits, glancing around before her eyes fell upon him with a smile. “also definitely recommend the spike hot chocolate.” 

“yeah it is--” he said, hitting back to those memories. although he used to cause so much trouble at the winter wonderland most of the time. but they were good memories in the end. “i think it’s different only because the last time i’ve been here was when i was a teen.” he confessed. “after you -- i didn’t catch your name?” he said, doubt in his words.

“of course i had to tell her that he was just joking,” she mentions with a shake of her head. “i couldn’t let him ruin her christmas spirit. i also informed her parents, so they could make christmas extra special for her to ensure that santa is real.” naomi states with a warm smile before bursting into laughter. “please, don’t tell me that i sound like that.” 

zac let out a dry chuckle and crossed his arms as she replied. “how come teachers always end up being the nicest people in the whole world. i mean that’s extra but for you, it might be just another monday.” he said with a shrug. ״no-- you sound much worst.”  he joked.
