THE STORM INTENSIFIES AS ICE TAKES OVER THE CASTLE -- the haze of sleet swirling in the air in a thick blanket that’s hard to see through as wind whips it violently. hands clutch to her chest as she tries to escape from captivity -- escape && run away. but he calls out to her -- breaks the terrible news.

shock sets in, twirling on her heels as she falls to her knees in complete devastation -- she’s dead. it’s her fault her sister is dead. && all at once the storm ceases in one swoop, particles of ice && snow suspended in mid air as her shoulders shake -- back turned to the prince.

&& blue eyes gaze up in one second -- seeing her sister running toward her to save her but she’s too late -- as the cold steel thrusts through her midsection, exiting forward before he pulls it from her && she falls back, caught in her sisters arms for the first && last time. she has so many regrets -- she should have spent more time with her sister, kept herself from shutting her out for so long but she’d done it to protect her. && for what -- she was injured && her sister was freezing to death. what would become of them ? what would become of their kingdom ? bare fingers brush against her sister’s cheek across the snowflakes forming on her skin, tucking a strand of white hair behind her ear.

her freedom came at such a strong cost -- two sisters && their untimely deaths. it was unfair. the thoughts swirl in her head for a moment -- the regrets, the what ifs that could have led to a better ending for either of them -- but they all cease because for the first time in her entire life...she feels cold. but not from the snow or ice. the white of the fjord is stained with red as her wound bleeds out quickly, pooling around the sisters but elsa gives the younger a smile instead -- tears welling up && spilling over her cheeks.

vision blurs as she watches the ice overtake anna slowly -- she’s going to die alongside her && it was all elsa’s fault. her childhood had been awful && lonely because of HER -- because she couldn’t control her ever growing powers, because she couldn’t CONCEAL. if she had just --

the queen leans her head against her sister as the younger’s arms hold her closer in an icy grip. she’s tired now -- the blood loss is fast && dizzying && painful but it starts to numb as she closes her eyes with a last exhale of breath, body heavy against the now stone cold statue of ice her sister had become because of her.

&& with her demise the snow begins to fade from summer -- olaf && her other creations disappearing along with it.

FEAR WOULD BE HER DOWNFALL -- it’s so entirely consuming as she flees from her kingdom, from her duties && from the one last bit of family she has left. they can’t accept her -- she’s a MONSTER. she saw how they all looked at her -- terrified of her. she’d failed -- she lost control && couldn’t conceal herself any longer && despite it being summer, the snow came in as she ran across the fjord, freezing it over as she kept running && running.

though a careless slip in shoes && attire that didn’t match the new terrain causes ankle to twist as she tumbles down a cliff face, stopping herself quickly with a hastily made bridge of ice, her body sliding then colliding with a tree. snow begins to flurry around her as she realises she’s stuck now -- pressure placed on her injury causes intense pain to spike through her leg && she ends up lost in her thoughts, insecurity && fear swirling inside her as she wrings one gloved hand in the other bare one before hugging her midsection && rubbing at her arms. though the sound of another living thing startles her back to attention -- a jump, attempt to stand that causes her to fall back into place, bare hand thrust forward with an accidental cast of ice held in dangerous spikes pointing his way but not making contact.

&& the queen believes she’s caught -- they’d sent people after her...to...to kill her. but then he speaks -- the fear evident in her eyes, as her gaze stays trained on him, hand held out in warning in case he were to attack, chest rising && falling rapidly -- && the words take a moment to fully hear, because she’d been called a monster, she’d been FEARED. but he -- well, he was saying the opposite now.
