ima speedrun this but to say senzai wasn't abusive besides his complicit behavior with the kiiroibara cult's massacre in tokyo disregards his character completely. we see senzai's physically abusive behavior in 4 manners:
- the comic by xja_art in which it displays isamu and senzai's relationship, showing isamu being choked by senzai before his travel to aogashima
- senzai knocks isamu out in b2c2 to drag him all the way to enzukai's lair
- senzai having sequences in b2c4 where the player has to click away in order to free themselves of senzai choking isamu/the player
- senzai's method of killing the player being choking in b2c4
while the last 2 actions are done during b2c4, they are not done in the name of the cult or for the sake of tokyo's destruction, they are done from the want to eliminate isamu. it may aid the cult, to remove the interference isamu causes, but his intent nonetheless is selfish. a big part of b2 happened because he happened to join a cult to complete his goal, which was to be rid of isamu due to his resentment.
with the implication handed to us by xja_art's comic, we can tell that senzai choking isamu occured long before he even joined the kiiroibara cult. its just now in b2c4, it becomes visible and more obvious with his given screentime.
senzai choking isamu often says a lot about who he was post art incident. his comfortability and lack of shame in abusing his brother physically gets strengthened with his dialog, wherein he belittles isamu and ignores his efforts to try avenge him (b2c2) and threatens isamu with death (b2c4).
" Did you really think you were the hero of this story, brother? Don't make me laugh, Playing detective and trying to "avenge" me? Please.. stop acting like you care, it's pathetic. "
" DIE! DIE! DIE! JUST DIE ALREADY! "
isamu being unable to respond to his condemnation and later criticize himself, taking up unecessary blame, shows that senzai's words evoke self-hatred, that his statements are great enough to destroy isamu's self perception.
" Why'd I have to be such a terrible person? Tokyo's in shambles, people are dead and it's my fault! If I- If I had just spoken to my dad, then Senzai would still be... "
in short, senzai is abusive and should be held accountable for that aspect of his character. thanks for listening, i wanna go gambling in the arcade now bye
