Normal morning. Talked with mom, had a coffee and went to class. Got a message from someone in the middle of it. Was very disappointed because it's obvious that they don't care about/respect me at all, but I'm kinda stuck with them for the rest of the year.
I leave to go home, passing the neighborhood of the person who texted me, but I’m nowhere near anywhere they couldve seen me. Then I receive another message asking why I look so sad. I'm not even near their house but they know my schedule. Which means they had to be outside actively looking for me. spying on me from the bushes or something. Again. No respect for me at all.
I Walk to my next appointment and arrive 20 minutes early and sit under a pagoda. Then a 75 year old man pushing a baby stroller with a clock in it walks past me, does a double take, and says hi in Korean. I say hi back and he is startled because I do actually speak Korean (I went to college here. I’m not fluent but I get by). He goes on a rant about how Koreans study English so hard and can't speak still can't speak it and then he changes the subject to me. How long have I been here, how long have I studied Korean, where do I live, and then he asks if I have a boyfriend. I say no and he says that he is single too and that he likes it because his life is full of adventure.
He asks how old I am and when I tell him he gets so upset. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU ARENT MARRIED YET?! YOUR FACE IS BEAUTIFUL AND YOU HAVE A GREAT PERSONALITY AND YOU SPEAK KOREAN." He’s like full out yelling.... and then another lady walks by and he’s shouting at her now, "HEY HEY! DO YOU HAVE A NEPHEW OR SOMETHING? SHE DOESNT HAVE A BOYFRIEND! AND SHE SPEAKS KOREAN!"

The lady isnt really phased and says she has a forty year old nephew. I say that that's similar to my moms age, like please dont set me up with him... and the lady starts talking about how i really DO speak Korean.
At this point my alarm goes off which means I have to leave for my appointment now, so I excuse myself and I say have a nice day and he shouts "SEE SHE EVEN KNOWS HOW TO SAY HAVE A NICE DAY!"
I finish what I’m doing and then I call dad while I drink a giant smoothie because I forgot to eat. I walked to a market that I discovered a few weeks ago and wanted to take another look at. They were having a sale on garlic that has people literally (and I do mean literally) lining up around the block with their carts.
I finish my call with dad and am about to call mom when this little old lady stops me to ask me in korean where she can ride the bus. I tell her if she just keeps going straight she can find it. I dont think she noticed I’m American at all...
afterwards I call mom and while we are on the phone some guy smoking a cigarette walks past me, which is fine. I dont really like cigarette smoke but I dont mind or anything. we’re outside and whatnot, so it doesn’t really effect me at all... but then I notice he has blood dripping from both hands... like a lot of blood. definitely not a paper cut. And he is acting really weird. So I freak out and go home....
I'm glad I can go to bed now...
