I had my first trip; a ferry from a small island in Alaska to Washington. At first, I was so happy to become an independent adult, start fresh and go back to school. As the trip goes on, I started to run out of things to do; got bored with watching the same movies, going out on the deck or walking downstairs to the cafeteria and getting hot water. When I had service, I’d make sure that I could text or even give a call to friends, but it wasn’t until the last night I had a thought about what I had been through; heart break.

Yes, I know... it was not the best thing to think about, but there will be times when you’ll be sitting somewhere gazing out into beautiful scenery or even looking at your cup of coffee/tea. You’ll reflect back to who you once were weeks, months or even years ago. At that moment, you’ll realize that you have moved on and had grown to be a beautiful strong person. Patience is all you need for life to fall back into place and the people who stayed by your side and supported you... is all that matters.

Don’t waste your time on something that your time trying to make something last when the other person can’t keep their word. It’s like what they say “why water a plant that’s already dead.” Let it go and just relax, think about your priorities and what can benefit you... because in the end, you’ll ask yourself “am I happy?” And this time you can say “yes, I am”
