Looking for answers

Through darkness || Harry & Isabel

Harry had no real idea where the question had come from. It felt like it had been sitting on the tip of his tongue since breakfast but he hadn’t been consciously thinking it. So it caught him off guard a little. Maybe he paid more attention than he thought he did. Her explanation seemed to make sense, though he was tempted to tell her she didn’t need to explain considering he hadn’t even meant to ask the question. Though something was bugging him and he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. He nodded, however, managing a small smile. “Yeah..” He remembered her saying something about going into work as well so it was even more confusing as to why the question randomly slipped out. “Okay.” He nudged her and then looked around, mind back on the holiday they were apparently going to go on. Who knew whether or not she’d change her mind though. He wasn’t sure if he should hold out much hope, as mean as he felt for thinking it. “Anywhere in particular you’d want to go?” He asked as they continued walking, turning to her. “You know, on holiday?” He wasn’t sure where, and he didn’t really mind, as long as it was far away from Baberton. It made him sad that he hated this place so much, his own home, but how could he not? Besides, there was a killer on the loose that the police were too ridiculous to even catch. There was no guarantees that Chloe was safe either and… he couldn’t go through that again, that was for sure. Maybe they should just ask Chloe if there was anywhere she wanted to go but… she’d probably just say anywhere. Harry wished his mind would stop drifting. This was the problem when he was in this town and not away for business or buried in paperwork. He inhaled deeply and looked around them. It was a nice day so there were quite a few people on this part of the park already. They’d brought their kids out for the morning or they were walking their dogs. Nice and normal but nothing was really normal here anymore. “Think I fancy a coffee.” He added, wondering if they should walk the short way so they could circle round to the Coffee Bean.

The questions did in fact through Isabel off guard, she hadn't been expecting Harry to be paying so close attention to her. It seemed like he had bought her answer, thankfully. Last thing she wanted Harry to find out was what exactly that she was doing. Although she felt guilty as hell, Isabel wanted to tell him but she just couldn't bring herself to tell him. The brunette knew that her world would be torn apart if she didn't tell Harry soon. But how was she suppose to explain to her husband that she took a lover that was only twenty five years old. Feeling him nudge her, she smiled looking over at him. Focusing her thoughts on anywhere but the question and Austin instead opting to focus on her husband. "We could always head over to Paris." She said this as she leaned her head against his shoulder as they walked. The holiday still sounded good and amazing to Isabel. She needed the time away with her family and maybe this would help Harry and her get back on the track that she needs them to be on. Maybe this will help her get over her little thing with Austin. Whatever the hell it is. "What about you? Where would you like to go?" The brunette questioned, lifting her head to look at Harry now. She had wanted out of this town once a long time ago before she had gotten pregnant. Everything had been going fine but it was soon broken.  And now there was this massive killer on the loose. Losing Chloe would kill them both, she couldn't bare losing another child. Hearing him, she nodded her head. "Coffee does sound good to me." Isabel said this, looking over in front of them. The park was a such a nice play well it use to be. Until things changed, glancing down slightly. "The Coffee Bean?" She asked, it was a suggestion but it came out more like  a question.

Planning trips..
