“Nothing.”

“You must be doing something? A walk? Or what do you kids say? Hang out?”

“Not going good, I guess.”

“Not really. Which is exhausting today.”

“I guess breaks can be good though..”

“What are you doing?”

“Why?”

“I can’t seem to find the right words today.”

“Want me to grab it for you? I don’t mind.” 

“Uh, yeah. If you could grab those canned peaches for me?”

“What’s wrong with it?”

“Doesn’t feel like I’ll be able to finish it.”

“On what?”

“Writing.”

“What are you doing?”

“Writing.”

“For what?”

“My book.”

“You okay?”

“Yes. Just a bit frustrated with myself.”

“What do you write?”

“My book.”

“Oh.”

“Maybe it’s not a writing day.”

“Maybe all the kids and stuff are just too loud.”

“Sounds usually don’t bother me.”

Emma was walking around, trying to avoid thinking because that was always dangerous and led to general depression. She spotted Jenna and drifted over, hearing her mutter to herself. “Not working?” She wondered, nodding towards what she seemed to have been writing. Or maybe not writing.

Jenna looked up and smiled at Emma before she nodded. “I thought writing outside with good weather was a good idea.”

“On what?”

“Writing. For today at lease.”
