What Are Friends For? || Isaac and Giselle
He smiled at her approval. the one thing he loved about there friendship is that they were always there for each other. He was happy that she liked Piper. “ We are sorry for being so lovey dovey around everyone we can’t help it sometimes.
The night continued as they played their games. If they never looked at the clock they could for hours until someone gave up. Sadly they were both so stubborn when it came to video games that neither of them ever game up. Isaac looked at Zel as she yawned “ We could always switch to a horror movie what did you have in mind,” he said as he grinned at her. He got up and made a bowl of popcorn for them both and sat down right next to her as she looked through the movies choices.
Giselle flipped through the various horror movies. “Hmm. There’s Insidious, Friday the 13th, The Orphan…” Her face lit up as she saw her all-time favourite horror movie, The Ring. Once she put the DVD in, she lay back down on the sofa next to him, shoulders touching. She was glad she had Isaac. Just laying like this dissolved a tiny part of the tension and stress that ran through her body. Giselle sighed and rested her chin on his collarbone, comforted by his presence.
Even though the movie was intensely horrific and scary, Giselle somehow managed to fall asleep. It was strange falling asleep so easily. For the past week since Ian and her had fought, the girl hadn’t been able to sleep. She would lay awake for hours, unable to get warm. And when she did finally fall asleep, she would dream of his face always covered by shadows, disdainfully glaring at her. She would only sleep for a few minutes before waking up again with an overwhelming feeling of guilt and emptiness. That night her sleep was blank, dreamless and painless.
It was a bit cold in the Hecate Cabin and he noticed that Zel was a bit cold. Slowly he reached for the covers while avoiding and sudden moments that would wake her up. It was peaceful for the both of them as they laid on the couch together snuggled up in a blanket. The movie was a bit scary for Isaac , but he didn't mind. Zel looked like she needed a night like tonight and Isaac was going to be there for her no matter what. When she arrived at his door step he felt the weariness in he mind. Now that she was sleeping all the stress just faded away.
Isaac began to fall asleep but found himself watching the movie waiting for the next scene to happen. His mind was on auto pilot but some how his arm wrap around Zel to add more comfort for her. He wasn't hesitant about it either. It was as if he knew it was okay for him to do so.
