I gotta blabber off about my LISA fangame someday. It's been stuck in my mind for Y E A R S at this point. Have you noticed that there's like no fangames where you actually, genuinely play as a bad guy? With the one exception of Lovely Conspiracy — an amazing fangame by the way — there's always some way to explain the protagonist's reasoning. And, I mean, why wouldn't the devs make a game about a protagonist that you can root for, about some folks with noble intentions amid the apocalypse? It makes sense, It's easy to connect to them. My goal is to make a fangame where — as hard it could be — to make a truly evil, despicable protagonist and his crew that the player will blindside themselves to root for them regardless.
That's where Lisa: The Careless comes in. I want to pull in a classic 'Walter White' case where there's just enough wiggle room and understanding of the protagonist's actions and their push forward to plant the seed of doubt inside the player's head to make them ROOT for the protagonist, thinking there's some bigger explanation for their actions. In reality, things are simple. Sure, things are never black and white, but some people are more evil then they are good, some people are just selfish - the protagonist of Lisa the Careless and his crew is one of those people in the wasteland; the selfish ones, the one-off enemy NPC's that you'd shrug off or kill in most fangames.
A mechanic with a stagnant life who found new opportunities in the apocalypse (Desmond), a classic trigger-happy hillbilly (Ralph), a stoic prize fighter (Tyreese "Ty"), an old school greaser (Vince), and an alcoholic depressed ex-firefighter (Bob) in a band of five who are total douchebags and assholes with an actual evil intent, THAT'S my idea right here. Bonus points if I can romantize the protagonist and have the player root for them whilst being blindsinded by their own evil deeds, as if trying to look through the protagonist's eyes and trying to find reasoning for their actions.
I'd love to get into the project, and I have a bit of coding experience n' explored the game in the RPG engine to know the knicks n' knacks of how things work, but alas, I'm not an artist, I can't draw and I can't make pixel art, and trust me fellars I tried not once. Alas, maybe some day..
Randomly thought of the chances of my funger fellars winning the festival;
Irene - She's a die-hard pacifist with the tendency to 'forcefully' help others whenever they like it or not; she's a medic! She's also pretty much fearless, STUPIDLY so; gal's gonna throw herself in the arms of danger at any given time! Complete zero.
Maria - Has incredible magic potency due to her mind wandering off to the other realm of existance; an unique ability she was born with. Alas, she's 'not fully there' in the real world and would probably never use violence unless if to help her sister. Extremely slim, almost zero.
Catalina - A good fighter, very resistant and hardened by her environment. Her biggest drawback is that she's here to protect her sister and will absolutely refuse to kill her, and will go in the harm's way to save her. Very slim.
Orlan - A weakling and a failure with a little bit of occult knowledgle he got from his studies. A cowardly conformist who follows the flow. He's been "Chained" his whole life, so maybe, just maybe, the festival could be a chance for him to finally 'live'. Still, a slim chance, very little.
Francisco - Now that's a proper contender! Bloodthirsty, brutal, extremely skilled, okay with killing others. Very high chance.
Victor - An ascetic religious fellow deeply devoted to Alll-Mer. He's calm and focused, combat-ready and an experienced fighter pilot. On top of that, he's pretty good with guns. Victor's biggest drawback is his pacifism and the need to help others; he wouldn't hurt anyone who's innocent. However, because of him being "at peace" with himself and having very strong willpower, he'd be resistant to the moonscorching effect and would probably be one of the very few contestants to reach Day 3 night non-moonscorched. So maybe...? He WOULD kill other moonscorched contestants as self-defense. Moderate chance.
Funger stickers!!
Use this post to talk and spam about your funger OC's in the comments for others to see, I absolutely LOVE the funger universe and seeing people make characters for it brings me such joy. Let's have a third festival guys.

Irene Fauster
OH. Also got this scottish potty mouth gal called Irene Fauster. She's got a thick accent, swears like a sailor, and her whole gimmick is that she's aggressively kind. She will ignore your personal space and if you got a paper cut, she will forcefully put a band-aid on your finger whenever you like it or not.
A veteran of the first great war, a nurse and a former mental asylum orderly that became a whistleblower and escaped her country (Northern Rondon Isles), she's now travelling around Europa and had accidentally found herself in the heart of the termina festival.
This gal was made a loong time after the previous five OC's; she's quite recent, actually! Hence why the art is not the same style - It's the only character I have whose art of isn't a commission, but a gift from someone, so allow me to credit that awesome someone. Give them some love!

last funger oc, I swear.
Maria, the savant.
The savant was born.. differently, than others. No one in the village could exactly pinpoint what was wrong with her, but the savant's mind is seemingly stuck in It's own world. Not even the horrors of losing her home, her family was enough to break her from her own imagination, and her sister's efforts to shield her innocence hadn't exactly helped either.
Born alongside her dear sister in the village of Troshovka in Voroniya, Maria is selectively mute, and only speaks Voroniyan—even so, only her sister has the priviledge of hearing her speak. It's clear as day that Maria's not exactly 'there'. She's slow, shy, timid, yet can show exceptional intellect at times. A recluse that prefers to stay in the comfort of her own imagination, It's not clear if Maria knows exactly what happened to her parents..

Catalina, the rebel.
The only thing left in her heart after losing her family is pure, unfiltered hatred for the Bremen scum. And the love for her sister, Maria. They came out of nowhere, slaughtered her whole village—her family, like they were nothing. The rebel survived the onslaught by pure luck, and woved to extract her revenge on those that wronger her, no matter the cost.
Born in the small rural village of Troshovka in Voroniya, Catalina was a humble rural gal—helping her family, taking care of her disabled sister, but everything changed when the war started, and her little village found itself in the center of it all. Only the sisters had survived the slaughter, and ever since that day, Catalina vowed to extract her revenge to those who wronged her. Having joined he Voroniyan Resistance and then the N.L.U, Catalina did everything in her power to thwart the Bremen invasion and shelter her sister from harm.

Orlan, the acolyte.
As the newborn child of an aristocratic royal family in the far Northern region of Rondon bordering the Bremen border, the acolyte was showered with wealth and luxuries from a very young age. But no amount of materialisic goods could patch the hole in his heart caused by loneliness and the locked gates of his mansion. Being an acolyte? Well, let's just say it wasn't his choice.
Member of the 'van der Bjil' house with deep-rooted ties to the old Bremen royals, Orlan was born into the world of luxury. Alas, when everyone but you is starving, It's hard to make friends—that's something that Orlan knows very well. When the war came and the Bjil house would themselves fearing for an imminent invasion, their sheltered only child Orlan was send to study in the heart of the Vatican, for 'protection'. Orlan soon found out that he doesn't really have to apply himself to earn recognition if the church is dependant on his parents' annual 'generous donations'.

Francisco, the mercenary.
Having been born in the poorest of the Valland slums, the harsh reality of the mercenary's life gave him the endurance and skills that ensured his success when he started exchanging blood for money. Not loyal to any side, having fought for whoever paid the most. The mercenary's skills and cold exterior is not to be underestimated.
Vicious and brutal, Francisco had long since found himself desensitized to the horrors of the war and the brutality of the world. Only one thing carries him forward in life—the cold, hard promise of payment. Having fought alongside his Vallandian brothers in a mercenary company called the "Iron Soldiers", the only thing exceeding his brutality is his infamy.

Victor, the pilot.
Born in the small village of Chaumont in the Eastern province of Rondon, the pilot's life had many ups and hiccups. A self-made noncomformist with no purpose in life, to a vicious pilot of the royal Rondon's air force, to a glorified ace shining on the headlines of every newspaper, to a survivor of the unsurvivable—changed, and forever reborn.
Struggling to find a purpose in life, joining the freshly formed Rondon's air force seemed like the logical thing to him. He quickly found himself to be good at what he's doing—really good. His position as an ace gave him fame and glory that he wouldn't have witnessed as a regular man. Alas, after surviving and unsurvivable plane crash, Victor picked up a new meaning in life. To carry All-Mer's will, who he believes had saved him, and transform himself into a humble and kind man.

Not drawing caligura
Might post a handful of my fellas smellas Fear & Hunger OC's. A long time ago I wanted to make a fanfic based off of F&H's universe with original characters happening in the universe's Vatican City. Fun times, really fun times. Ultimately I did nothing substantial with it, but my OC's stayed and survived the test of time.
Here's a few snippets I managed to salvage from the fanfic's beginning — six fellars stuck in a different timeline inside Vatican City, with the cube of the depths from the first game making a comeback..
Two things absolutely changed my life as a writer. You ready?
One- Your characters can be bad people, they can do bad things. There doesn't have to be a reason or a moral. You can make them bad if you want to. No other reason needed.
Two- it doesn't have to be good, it just needs to be written. On my last book i literally wrote the words "dumbest version" on the top of the page because I had seen some advice to do that. It changed everything. I stopped trying to make it perfect, I just tried to make it. Period. Full stop. You can edit bad writing. You can't edit a blank page.
And honestly? Defiance is the best writing I've ever done. All because I let my characters be bad and I gave myself the freedom to write it badly.

Introduction & Daylight.
Howdy-ho folks! Here's a little (proper) introduction - I'm a (soon-to-be) writer who likes worldbuilding and playing with dolls in his head. Your regular generic writing schmuck, yatta yatta yatta. I've been writing & roleplaying ever since I was a little dipshit boy, but only recently decided to take it up a notch by trying to actually show others my lil' original universe.
Currently looking for anyone interested who'd give me their opinion on a little story draft I've been writing. Despite having the hobby of writing stories, worldbuilding and more, I haven't really touched the idea of exploring a story concept that I'd ideally like to really, really focus myself on and turn it into a big thing - and not just abandon it mid-way. Inspiration comes and goes, but I feel like this one's going to stay.
Set in the future with four major factions rulling most of the known galaxy, the story tells the adventures of a man named Fenrir. A 'daredevil' resistance fighter that fought against a despotic empire known as the New Foundry. Having taken part of the infamous 6-day Kitrel Uprising, Fenrir manages to avoid capture for a few months after the uprising's failure. He is ultimately caught, and sentenced to death for treason. Whilst contemplating his own mortality and thinking about his inevitable death, something sets him free..
There's a lot of ideas that are yet to appear in the story; so far all I've written is a rough draft of the first chapter, AKA. Introduction to the actual adventure on the arctic planet. Having around 8K+ words, I'm looking for folks to give me their feedback on this lil' draft.
I'm especially looking to see if the story is engaging. If what I've already written is captivating enough to get you hooked on the protagonist's story and his motivations — or if it's boring and uninteresting.

oh yeah, I'm gonna babble n' ramble about the universe & the universe's factions in the next few posts.
Hey lads, what's crackin'. I'm gonna share my writing schmuck here and other character-centric stuff maybe. Tell me what I should expect from Tumblr, I heard some wiiiiild stories..
