..behind door #2, all your wildest dreams
It’s quite hilarious, if you think about it, how many of us repeat cycles every month, season, year.. and how we tend to curse ‘God’ or the Universe for serving us up the same dish we continue to be so mildly satisfied with. Rather masochistic of us really, yet we hardly see it that way. We tend to view this dish served as “what we deserve”. As if we have no other option but to keep saying ‘yes’ to it because we are constantly being brought to the head of that repetitive path cycle. We think, “oh God, here we go again with the same shitty situation. Why me!? Do I really deserve this?” .. well the truth is, we accept what we think we deserve, so when we are constantly tempted by the same life choices that are familiar to us and keep us going in circles instead of leveling up, we often submit, and fall in line with this path presented to us because we think that’s all there is for us. We tend to dismiss the fact that if we say ‘no’ to one situation or one opportunity, like the saying goes, another door opens. The closed door plants a seed of fear or doubt in ourselves or our future situation. So we typically choose comfort, and instead of choosing the closed mystery door that could alter every part of our existence and bring us closer to our true, authentic selves, we walk through the same, familiar open door that we’ve walked through a thousand times before, even though we know the chances of it bringing us to anywhere remotely different from where we continue to end up when choosing that door is unlikely as fuck. We choose comfort. We choose familiarity. The suffering to stay the same when we’re programmed to grow is ultimately our own doing. Have Faith in your own potential and choose to walk blindly through that mystery door. It could be the missing step to your journey, & hell, if by chance there’s an even bigger shit storm waiting for you on the other side, know you’re resilient enough to walk through the fire & come out blazing like the rising Star you are. The biggest threat to dimming your light is your own mindset.
