"I always look back on how you used to be. I remember, back when both of us were teens, you'd sneak out to follow me around at night. I never cared much for it — you were nothing but a rat to me. Something small, insignificant, unimportant. I remember how you'd embrace me as I sucked the life from your veins, how you'd give me your all only to get my nothing in return. Now that I'm older, I can't help but look back at our shared past as a reminder.

Your face will never fade from my memory. How can it? I see it almost every day. But only now do I realise how much you treasured me, and how much of a selfish narcissist I was towards you.

Sometimes, it feels like you knew this would happen. Or did you really consider your life to be so invaluable? I guess I'll never know. I can only wish I could speak to *you* once more, to tell *you* those three words you always wanted to hear. Oh, who am I kidding. Those three words would turn into seven, twelve, fourty nine...

Sometimes, I can't help but talk to you in my mind, yet..I can never imagine what your responses would be. I guess I never paid much attention to you back then."
