twenty years ago, baby ireny uploaded this les mis fanart to deviantART. it wasn't her first ever les mis fanart, but it was the first piece of art she ever scanned and colored digitally (you can tell). recently i came across it again while organizing my files and i guess i felt like i couldn't let this anniversary pass unmarked.

sometimes i worry that my art hasn't improved enough over time, and maybe it hasn't. but i'm still pretty happy with where i am in life and i would be lying if i said combeferre hasn't played a role in all of it, somewhere through the years.
