Now that I've had time to process the Season 14 premiere, I just wanted to briefly share my thoughts on Graham's departure from the show. While I am devastated like the rest of you, I am so happy that Graham is moving on to pursue his dreams. I 100% fully support him and his decision (which he wrestled with for many years before deciding) and wish him nothing but the best in wherever his journey takes him. From the bottom of my heart....Graham, THANK YOU for being our Ty Borden. No one else could have portrayed him better. You are a gem.
With that being said, I will still always be sad to never see him portray Ty Borden on our TV screens. I'm grieving like the rest of you, but yet I feel even more excited for this season. Heartland has always strived to be as realistic as possible, and these are the kinds of stories that are a reality for many. I applaud the the writers and producers for this extremely well done Season premiere, and the phenomenal acting by the whole cast, especially Amber.
I truly feel sorry for those that have posted comments saying that they are never watching Heartland again since Ty/Graham is gone. Heartland has never been about one person or one couple. Heartland has always been about family and going through the ups and downs together. The show is so much bigger than one individual, and I encourage everyone to give this season and this new journey a chance.
After all the hard work the cast and crew has put into this season (and having to deal with COVID-19 on top of that!), we need to show our support now more than ever.
Lastly, I wanted to mention again that I support Graham and his decision, so if anyone posts hurtful/negative comments about him or the show on my posts, they will be deleted. We have enough negativity in our world these days. I want to keep my account a safe space for all Heartland fans. 💛
