Legundo doesn't talk about what led him to the dragon rider's academy. It's too fresh, too painful. He just wants a new life where he can be useful, be helpful. Its just him, his Daemon and, now, his dragon. His dragon! Why should he focus on the past when there's a whole new life unfolding in front of him?

Only, Legundo has never been around so many Daemon-hybrids before and he's discovering very quickly that for all that Olsted taught him alchemy and tinkering, he neglected A LOT of other, very important things that he really should have known. Nesting? Co-grooming? Grappling? Words that he knows the dictionary definitions for, but in practice he's stumbling around blindly.

Enter Juniper. She just wanted a friend, and someone she could trust with her last letter, but instead she ended up with a very anxious, clueless puppy to look after. Well, no matter! He's her responsibility now and she looks after what she claims as hers.

Now if only he would stop being such a brat, everything would be perfect. Warnings: None!

I was always the adventurous sort, going on trips though the country looking for lost trinkets or abandoned places to admire. Climbing trees was always a good pastime, a good way to get up high and see everything. A fun one that often found treasures that one normally couldn’t find when searching on the ground alone.

Therefore, finding a place to settle down was not exactly what I was planning on doing when I went on one of my little treasure hunt. Scouring through an old, crashed van in the woods for any trinkets to horde is how I find my way into Esbek, a totally normal town.

Yeah, right.

But this place has a lure to it, some kind of pull. There were a couple people (or otherwise) around who I quickly make friends with. Perhaps too quickly. A contact of mine has a contact that has a contact with someone around here… wouldn’t tell me the name, just some number that I wish I could remember.
