belt is from another outfit. (hint: i made it work on a high waist skirt by using double sided tape to help secure the end. it really helped prevent it from flapping around because the belt was intended to be worn lower on the other outfit.)
love, love, love this skirt, it's from Zara Italy. (i can't wait to wear this skirt again in the fall with a sweater and boots!)

first, i found this skirt this summer on my travel to italy. love at first sight. i love the colors, i love that i can carry it all the way into winter season, i love that it has layers and flows nicely and it has pockets. (love pockets!) so this was my first attempt at wearing out.
i chose the blue tank because it's still summer and i needed to brighten the dark skirt up a bit. i chose i snug fit tank because the bottom half of the outfit is full. wearing something too blousey (is blousey a word?) on top would make me look like humpty dumpty.
the high waist called for a nice size belt to make the look cleaner and more put together. i scavenged my closet and found this one from last season's forever 21 sundress.
i <3 nude pumps, they make your leg look longer. wearing a shoe with color with this length of skirt would only make me look shorter. this is a hard length to pull off when you are 5'3". keeping with nude will make your leg appear to continue to your toes.
i chose one chunky gold bracelet to tie in with the gold buckle on the belt and simple (cleo staple) gold hoop earrings. i chose not to carry a handbag because i wanted to keep the look clean and fresh.
i have to say that i adore what Michelle Reyna is wearing in this pic. for that matter i love whatever that woman puts on her body! she always looks fresh.
also, the two arm candies that we are sharing on either side of us are definitely amping up our fab-factor. great job fellas. (ps. this is the first intro of fernando on my site, say hello ladies. you'll most likely being seeing him from time to time, as he is my lucky man.)
after looking at this look now, i think i might hem the skirt up just about a half inch so that it hits more mid calf. (never be afraid to alter a piece no matter what you spent on it. if the piece fits you perfect then it makes the look appear more designer) i also would like to see one more punch of color for the summer. maybe a fuschia clutch? idk, i'm still staring at it. but this look needs something. what do you think?
