Somewhere far away
I am wondering what the symbology in this means. The only thing that seems even a little clear is that Christ is on the side of England, and maybe something about the War of the Roses, but maybe not.

This is such an insanely good cover. The novel itself is frustratingly all over the place and I never read the sequel "The Wizard" which presumably lends some kind of explanation/finality to the two part series.
I got the two in a combo book entitled The Wizard Knight (which makes more sense), though it had a different, more boring, cover. It was definitely written differently. My brother described it as "a fever dream" and I don't know if he finished it. I didn't have too much trouble with it, but I am steeped in fairytales, the occult and mythology, so it all kind of made sense. In a sideways sort of way I would liken it to the song The Bonny Swans. I would recommend reading The Wizard. It is perhaps a little more straightforward than the first part. An MMO or RPG based on these books would be amazing.

I know what this references, but seeing this, I feel like there needs to be video game of it, though maybe Chants of Sennar is in the neighborhood.
