To everyone who's about to take the CE board exam this coming November, what the PRC did was unjustifiable, to think that everyone has only a month left to prepare for the exam then they decided to downgrade the calculators. It takes practice to master a calculator and sadly most of us (in college days) have revolved around using Casio's fx991-ES (plus) or any other similar calculator with the same functions.
Also, supposedly the board exam is estimated to be solved at 3 mins per problem if you want to finish it with time to spare. Tinanggal niyo yung shift solve, integral and differential functions paano na masosolve yan within 3 minutes per problem? Lalo na sa math na kailangan ng multiple equations just to find one value.
I kid you not this upcoming exam will be one hell of a showstopper for everyone but i'm still hoping for the best for the examinees.
If this is true then PRC is not thinking right....we are in the age of advance technology, the tools are available such as calculators. why all of a sudden you want the new graduate engineering students use something they have not mastered using the long hand mathematics, abacus, slide rule and/or the like....
